5 other names you didn't mention but Osgood could easily beat for a starting job: Cloutier, Fernandez, Roloson, Auld, and Backstrom. Backstrom has a much brighter future then Osgood, and will be much better soon enough, but right now, Osgood is still the better goalie.

The names I highlighted are all guys that Osgood could easily beat out of a starting job if he wanted to. Denis is terrible, Leclaire is overated and injury prone, Mason is so-so, Legace sucks, and Aeibischer is inconsistant at best. Osgood would probably be better starter then all of them. Granted, he hasn't been a starting a goalie in a long time, but he can still do it. Does that mean I want him to be a starter here? No, it doesn't, because he was getting injured like crazy last year, and does have a tendancy to give up soft goals. That said, he's not chopped liver. He can be a starting goalie, and if it came down to him or the names that I highlighted on the list you made, I'd rather have Osgood.

The number on the front completely ruins it. ...other than that, it's pretty good. Their staying true to the original design, which is good. I'm tired of almost every team in the league changing their logo's all in one year. Still, it could do without the number on the front. It's such a stupid idea.

Allison is, without a doubt, the slowest and laziest player in the NHL. Considering the treatment we gave Lang, Allison would be hated just as badly if not worse.
-
I know. He could be a starter in another city if he wanted.

Show's just how much he's worth. *cue outburst*

Not really. That's about the national average for a composite stick.

Never happen is right. It's only a joke that started when some idiot (who I think was banned but I can't remember) started saying it was close to happening or something. Like Eklund.

I've had a Synergy before, and it lasted a long time for me. I do hear they break a lot, but mine held up pretty good.

It says he has worked the SCF's before, so he might a good choice. Don't know too much about him right now, so I guess I'll have to see what he sounds like in the studio.

The price could be a lot worse. Most new sticks are around that price, or more.

The Flyers get so many games because they are owned by Comcast, which owns Versus. It's a simultaneous string of events for them.

Who's Bill Patrick?

Osgood is only a backup. *cue rant*

Well, that's it. I'm officially done being a Wings fan. I'm done with hockey forever. I just can't look at these jerseys anymore. Damn anti-canadian Bettman trying to corrupt hockey with his no fighting and love for southern market teams. ***** rant complain RAWR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 P.S. Nashville sucks and we need a fighter.

I always trade Lang in pretty much every hockey video game I play. In fact, in one of seasons I traded Lang, Hudler, and a draft pick to Dallas for Brenden Morrow and Sergei Zubov. How's that for savvy managment?

Slow news day again, apparently.

Let him sign in Ottawa or Colorado. I don't want him here personally, especially if it's going to be at 4 million a pop. He's not worth that kind of money anymore, given his injury history.
-
I never said he was a good player. But as it stands, he was one of the bigger names left on the free agent market.

I think it's a load of crap, to be honest. How can they afford him when their already over the Cap? I love how the Rags continue to try and buy a Stanley Cup year after year, only to have it blow up in their face. I don't expect them to do much at all this year, considering how pissy Jagr got when they signed Gomez and let Nylander go. I'm surprised Peca isn't returning to Toronto. He played well in his short time there.
-
At a bargin price, I wouldn't mind having him. ...then again, we already have plenty of centers. He's not exactly a top 6 forward at this stage in his career either. He used to be in San Jose, but whether he's still capable of that is up in the air.
-
Sheesh. Another backup goalie in Phoenix.

Based on what? The Capitals teams Jagr played on had some great players on them (Bondra, Nylander, Gonchar, Johansson, Oates, Halpern, Cote, Berezin, Zubrus) but they for some reason couldn't make the playoffs. There was no shortage of talent on that team. Jagr had a pretty good supporting cast. Columbus has a bunch of washed up has-beens (Foote, Berard) and a bunch of major underachievers (Nash, Zherdev, Brule, Leclaire). It's like night and day between the two as far as talent comparison. As much as I don't care to support Fedorov, he has no supporting cast with him on Columbus. Jagr, when in Washington, did have a supporting cast, and a pretty damn good one too. He has no excuse for the underachievement he gave there. All in all, those Capitals teams that Jagr played on had talent. The Columbus teams that Fedorov plays on right now don't.
