ok, not that i want Feds here or anything, but this whole feds is washed up and crap thing is just annoying. its obvious that it was the blue jackets that brought him down. did anybody watch the Caps series against the Flyers? if i remember correctly, he played on the first line and was very productive, was skating all over the ice, even had a short handed goal. He looked revived and fantastic, and in the wold championships this year he was also great. so im pretty sure that right now an injury free Sergei is a pretty damn good player and is above the likes of bertuzzi or naslund

honestly, i think if their players return and are healthy, i could see the Avs turning some heads next year. if theadore plays like he did at the end of the year, except against us thaht is , and they have sakic, floppa, foote, hedukj along with their young guys that looks pretty good when we played them like, jones, mcloud wolski, svatos. maybe my avs fan friend is just getting to me, but they look like they could be good if healthy

umm no, from living in the phili area and watching the flyers all season long, after game one, smith would be the goat here on these boards. he is just terrible now. all the flyers fans hate him because he is crap. his skills are gone, and cant skate and always gets beat wide, can block shots and is physical but brings nothing more than cheli already does. looking at the ducks salary, they have 52 mill committed to next year and still HAVE NOT signed corey perry. even burke doesnt think that they can get selanne signed. what do u guys think of him wearing the winged wheel? he is the mentor of filppula and had nothing but great things to say about him, we can sign him to a big 1 year deal since that will pretty much be what he is seeking, and he will take care of our secondary scoring problems. i hope we make him an offer.

i think if drake retires, avery could take his spot. plus he played on the second line for the rangers and when you get past his nonsense , hes actually a pretty good player that can make plays and put the puck in the net

i dont know if you guys have heard, but the coyotes 5th overall pick from a couple years ago has opted to become a free agent rather than sign an entry level deal with them. he seems like a pretty damn good player with a good frame. what do you think the odds are of detroit being interested at all in him? we can prolly get him pretty cheap

we really need to score first. dallas was saying int he first 3 games, that it was hard for them to play their game when we get out to a quick lead. the last 2 games, the starts scored first and played D for the rest of the game. how annoying was it with like 15 mins left in the 3rd, the stars would just back into their zone, get the puck and chip it out, and all retreat again. I HATE teams that play like that with taht much time left.

so i just saw zetterberg in the versus commercials where the players talk about how the cup changes everything. the funny part is, every player that has done that commercial has seen his team get eliminated from the playoffs. first it was alferdson, then iginla, then brodoure, then thorton, and even ovechkin. now zetterberg is in it, lets hope he changes the current trend!

the good thing is, theres really nobody TOO great out there that we would really need. also, i heard that if things keep going well, within 2 years the cap could be $62 million. now with having all of our core players locked up, we would have great cap space to make a splash next year and sign a great player rather than overpay for an OK player this year.

i think with the right trade with philly, we can pry jeff carter from there. they are most likely trading him anyways, because they already have their top two centers of briere and richards, so it would seem like a waste having carter on the third line. DZH franzen - carter- filppula maltby-draper-cleary hudler-kopecky-mccaty/helm/downey/drake assuming we include sammy in the trade the flyers need puck moving dmen, and the wings have plenty of them. it would seem like we could be good trading partners, orrr just sign Ryan Malone and ill be happy DZH franzen -filppula-malone etc. or we could switch up the lines and be equally as deadly. these are the moves i hope we make
