I absolutely Hate Pierre McGuire. But as previously mentioned, you almost listen to him for the comedy of douchebaggery. I also don't like how in just about Every Game the announcer will say "If it wasn't for This goalie, the score could be 7 or 8 to nothing/1/2" whatever I've heard that one so much, I've picked up on the fact that NHL caliber goalies are just that good. If it wasn't for that goalie, the backup probably would have been in there, and done the same thing, and be seen as the saviour of the team. Goalies stop pucks in 29 NHL cities. It's their Job.

If someone told me to go back to England, or Ireland, or france, or Scotland, Or Poland, Or Ukraine, or Russia, Or Germany (all my nationalities) It wouldn't bother me at all. Probably would make me smile. If someone called me a Frog, and told me to hop back to Quebec (I live in ontario, but am Part French Canadian), I would either smile, or chirp back with something. this year, I bought the MLB Package. $160. Living In canada, without it, I'd get about 10-15 tigers games throughout the year. I figured I'm paying about $1 a game, and it was worth it. I didn't watch Every game, but it was nice that Any night, when I dind't have something to do, I had the Tigers game to watch. I also found myself watching a lot of San Fran Games, As I was Excited about Pablo Sandoval, and had plans to go there to see a game (Which fell through) And with 4 separate payments of 40$, it became pretty affordable. I'm an Ohio State Fan, But I also Like to Watch The Michigan games. Without the Big Ten Network, and having Canadian Satellite that carries the Boston and LA Feeds of Fox, NBC, CBS, etc. I'd end up getting to see a total of about 4-5 Michigan and Ohio state games Combined. For the entire season, plus all of college Basketball, it was $100, I think it was worth it, Even though I won't watch any of the college Basketball. I went in with 4 other buddies to get the NFL Package. Again, having the Boston feeds of Fox, I'd literally only get the Thanksgiving day Lions game, so 50$ for the season wasn't so Bad. I thought about getting the Center Ice package, and doing it before oct 31st. But the Red Wings this year just don't excite me. Having Canadian Satellite, there are 3-4 days a week where Hockey's on. I won't get to see many Red Wing Games, But they have a lot more national games that are available. And If I ever Get the Itch, Hockey games are probably the easiest to find on the net, especially a premier team like the wings. I'm not going to get it in October, However, I might Buy it for the second half of the seaon, once the price goes down.

Anyone Have Any Idea Why the NHL, in the past 5 years has put out for sale Just about Every Vintage Jersey Possible, 3-4 Bruins, Sabres, 2 Flames, Blackhawks, Nordiques, 3 North Stars, Wings, Oilers, 3 Kings, Kansas City Scouts, Colorado Rockies, Rangers, Flyers, 2-3 Penguins, 2 Jets, Blues, Leafs, 3-4 Canucks, Capitals and Even THe Oakland/California (Golden) Seals.....But No Hartford Whalers? In the EA Sports and 2K Games, all the Classic Jerseys are in there, except for the Whalers. I'm wondering if the NHL somehow no longer has the Rights to the Whaler Logo and Names? Been With Hockey Streams all year. Only had a few ,minor problems, and when I did, there was always someone there to fix it. Even if the problem was on MY end, and not theirs. He'd still walk me through everything I needed to do. I'd recommend going with the HD feed. I go HQ, but I'm not a quality freak. It's not terrible, but if i buy again, I'm going HD.

Kopey, Helm, Abdelkader are all unproven at the NHL Level. That Leaves Aaron Downey as the Best player left after the Big 3. He's the Best on the team at what he does. He's the Best Fighter/Enforcer/Tough guy/Body Guard this team Has. He's the Absolute Best at 4 different categories. You can't say that about any other player. Sure he doens't have the Stats, But if he had as much Ice Time, Power play time, and Time with Dats and Z, His Numbers would be monstrous. Aaron Downey Is Definitively Our 4th Best Forward, and If Any of you Jerks ever got off your computer and Watched this Guy play live, you'd see the Energy and Passion that He Brings to every Single Second he's on the Ice. If Flip Was the 4th best Forward, he would be getting the Power Play Time, the PK Time, and He would be on the top 2 lines. I'm not saying he won't be great. He's just not there yet. I'm a huge FLip fan. and have High hopes for him. But he is not our 4th best Forward.

I don't know what the Format was like last year, I didn't see it. But the Skills Competition was something I used to Watch Every year, and look forward to it. I Loved All Star Weekend, but WTF did they do to the Skills Competition??? It was Bad enough when they stopped Taking the Winners from each event and putting them on display, so we were seeing the Fastest Skater, the Hardest shot, the most accurate shooter, the Best Stick Handler, and they just chose the participants from the all star roster. That was the first Mistake......But i still found the competition entertaining, and Loved watching it. Where everything that Everyone did still had a purpose...They at least kept score, and Had a winner at the end. Maybe the Winner didn't matter, and maybe nobody else even cares, But I think it sucks that they dont keep Score anymore, That you had East players shooting against east Goalies. I know it always Has been pointless, But I liked seeing who won...And for the few people like me, now it really is pointless....to everybody. I like the Dunk Competition/Breakaway Competition. That was fun to watch...I liked the Youngstars game, I miss the Legends game. I like the Events that thy do have....But compare this Skills competition to the ones tehy had in the Early 90's...and it just falls short. I don't know, maybe no one else cares or even watched, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.... Aside from all that..... Ovechkin Was hilarious

Does anybody else wonder Why a February Game between the Rangers and the Flyers in 1975 Was So well watched? I mean, they both had good teams back then, and The flyers were winning their 2nd cup that year...but Really?? Flyers rangers regualr season game??? Yup, I just Sat row 15 Section 121, it was Just inside the blue line, where the Wings shoot twice. Awesome Seats, Great for Seeing everything that's going on in the Offensive end in great detail, and high enough To see what's going on down at the other end of the rink too. Row 15 Was almost perfect, rpw 10 might be a bit too close....but IMO, 10-15 would be ideal. I picked up 2 tickets for Face Value (80$) from scalpers about a half hour before game time...I lucked out, because one Scalper ran and got A clean, Middle Aged White Guy who was looking to unload 2 of his 4...the scalpers wanted me to pay 100 Each, but i asked the guy if he'd take face, and he did.....Sorry Scalpers. They were saying those seast were going for about 120-150 each, so expect to pay that...I just got lucky....I walked around the Arena to see if any other scalpers had better seats, but those were the best ones that night.....Granted this was a saturday night, which means there are less tickets outside, and therefore More expensive.....If you go During the week, you should be able to talk them down to face or even lower. Yeah, canada's Players are the Best in the CHL, But the European Players are generally in leagues with professionals. So as tavares is sometimes playing against 3rd and 4th line 17 year old OHL players, who'll never play hockey again, The Euro's are playing against Men in Professional leagues in europe. I'll take a Pro Swedish or Russian league over the Brampton Batallion 10 times out of 10. The Memorial Cup, would be like the NCAA Tournament, if only the western most teams Were Included. Or an NCAA Football PLayoff, if only the 25 eastern most confrences play. As far as Canada having The Best Players in the CHL, The US has a Combination of the Best players in the CHL as well as the Best Players in College Hockey, Which in the Past 5 years have produced Some Top Notch talent, and Is jut now starting to get some o the coverage that it deserves. Well that's a rather simplified uneducated statement. We've won The Last 4, which is remarkable. We had won 5 straight between 93-97, but from the 7 years from 98-04 we didn't win once. Even when Canada was in a 7 year slump, the tournament was just as hot up here, and the interest never died down. To just brush off the tournament because Doesn't Make a Whole Lot of Sense, if you've actually Followed the Tournament. This Tournament is To hockey What The NCAA Tournament is to Basketball, or what the NCAA Playoffs would be to Football, only possibly Bigger. It's unique in the sense that The talent from the rest of the world is pretty much on par With that of north America, So we would have never been able to see the Ovechkin/Malkin vs Crosby, Kovalchuck vs. Spezza, Hedman vs. Tavares vs. Filatov Match ups that we've been able to see. Unlike College Basketball or football, There are world class top 5 draft pick talkents out there that we would other wise not get to see, let alone get to see against the best in the world. The Tournament has been dominated by canada, but jsut in the last 4 years. You don't even have to have a rooting interest to enjoy the other games...it's just an opportunity to Showcase the future NHL stars before they get there. American fans around here should be pretty pumped about the tournament, With Mccollum In goal for the Americans. And it's not like the US have been slouches lately either. the last time canada Lost, is was to the US in 04. the Past few years we've seen Americans like Parise, O'Sullivan, Kessel, Mueller, Jack Johnson, Eric Johnson, Patrick Kane and TJ Oshie jsut to name a few. I'm not just Picking on Crossover Thrash here, but anybody else that just dismisses this tournament as nothing special. If that' your view, Then I say you may be a red wings fan, but you are not a hockey fan.

Boston Is for Real... It starts Between the Pipes, Both Goalies have Been playing out of their minds So far...I think one is in the top 3 in GAA and the other is in the top 3 for SPCT. their Defence is Solid, led By One of the Most Dominant Defenders - Zdeno chara, Cut from the Same Cloth as Pronger, Phaneuf and Scott Stevens....Not to Mention Denis Wideman's been playing Superb for them. Their Offence is Clicking like no one else, With Phil Kessel emerging as the Scoring Prodigy that he was projected to be. Marc Savard Is quietly on his way to another 90 point season, Blake Wheeler, their rookie is coming on, Lucic is a poor man's Cam Neely, Krejic's been On fire for the past 2 weeks, and they've got the character plyers like PJ Axelsson, Scott thornton, Chick Kobasew and Stephan Yelle. Yes, the Bruins are for real, they do not lack in any area right now.

That Hockey Streams Site archives all the games....I only paid 30$ to get every game for the entire year. Video Quality is great, and a lot of guys from this board have it, and are chatting during the games.
