Kinda off topic, but Red Wings fans roll deep in So Cal. Went to a game vs. the kings this year, and was amazed (and proud) at how many Wings fans were there.

WOW Emery is a decent goalie, but he has a MASSIVE ego. Maybe playing in the KHL taught him something? Edit: Didnt Emery and Biron get in a fight back when Emery played for the sens and Biron played for the sabres a few years back? Should be an interesting year in philly to say the least.

That whole game 4 against the BJs was strange, but something about Osgood was not right. Osgoods lateral movement was s***, and was laboring getting back to his feet after dropping down in the butterfly. Obviously nothing huge, otherwise he would have been pulled. But the long break between round 1 and 2 seemed to cure whatever it was that was bothering him. As for Hossa, he is a pure goal scorer, and lead the Red Wings in regular season goals, so people expect the same in the playoffs.

Hossa lifting the Cup in pittsburgh to a bunch of boos (go Marian go) would be more than enough for me. :banana: :banana:

Agreed A lot of players dive nowadays... even on the Red Wings.

After every loss, there is nobody to blame but yourself. Thats the only thing you can control in a game. As a TEAM, the Wings were outplayed by a much hungrier pens team. Edit: should put to rest the whole ref conspiracy against the Wings

McCreary has been reffing NHL games for as long as I can remember. One of the best refs IMO.

Pains me to say it but I agree... They played a great game. That said like one of the talking heads on NBC said, you are not in trouble until you lose one at home... The Wings hold serve.
