Hossa is rumored to have turned down a 10 year 80 mil deal from the oilers. Rafalski could of signed for more elsewhere also. Both were bonafide superstars. Who ever you want to trade for is a 3rd liner at best right now and not worth the risk IMO.

He is under contract for one year, who is to say he wont split for more money after his current contract? His past seems to say he will. Not worth the 2nd round IMO.

Hmm. Hes been suspended twice. Two games for a knee on knee, and two games for beating Vermette with his own helmet. Seem like a bit of a hot head. Makes 1 mil next year, and then is a UFA. Lightning had trouble signing him in 05-06, and he split and went back to Russia for 2 years. No thanks, sound too risky.

Im sure he does because he is Hossa and is the Wings leading scorer in the regular season. Great thing is though, the Wings are not dependent on him scoring. Even if he is not , he is good on the back check, and the opponent still has to worry about him turning it on ... depth is a great thing to have. I think his style of play matches up good against the hawks (better than the ducks), and the goals will come for him.

Players are hammering him because he is on the opposing team. Im confident he will light it up this series.
