Refs take away a goal from the Hawks because a high stick that was not called several minutes after the goal. Then score to tie the game 1-1. No explanation as to why. I would be PISSED if I was a Hawks fan. This game is getting good real quick.

Perry was injured last year in a similar way,but not as bad. Pretty shatty way to end a career, hope he will be OK...wait till HOH hears about this.

Not sure about the whole trade idea, but the Wings suits need to decide what to with Howard. Either give him a chance or trade him, cause I really dont want to lose him off waivers. He is out of options next year right?

If that's the case, then the linesmen should be able to blow the play dead when the high stick occurred. Epic fail

Apparently the linesman saw the high stick and the refs decided to call the penalty after more than 2 minutes of play and a hawks goal without putting time back on the clock. Thats my understanding so far.

No doubt Not like Cheechoo got tomahawked, just a unintentional high stick should set up for a nice 2nd and 3rd though

I have never heard of a team firing an assistant coach as a wake up call. Why not MacLean? Or is he the next to be thrown under the bus? -
watched this game as well I believe Malkin also scored his 100th career goal, congrads to him for that, also made a nice play and pass to Crosby for his goal. Glad to see Shanny got the goal and assist. He is fitting in nicely.

Nice article. Thats the cold reality me thinks. Upon him signing here, I always thought of Hossa as a rental. Gonna suck seeing him in another jersey next year though. Gotta feel for the guy, obiously he loves it here, and the feeling is mutual. Just bad timing. P.S. damn you salary cap!

I dont like when people throw numbers out, because they can be misleading. Watching games, Conklin has played better, he has made the big saves when needed. But Ozzie was solid last year, and am confident that he still has what it takes back end the Wings.
