Good point. The Russian five's game is part of the reason why I became a fan of the Red Wings I think. It's easy to explain and hard to accomplish. Control the puck and you control the game.

By far Dats goal is #1 IMO. I'll say that is the second best all time behind Dats goal on Vokoun.

I was young when the Russian five came into the league, but I remember those guys could control the puck like nothing I've seen before (same could probably be said about their opposition). Passing was just tape to tape and seemed like they knew what each other was going to do. Made the other team look like they were standing still. Much like Feds I would love to see the five play in the new NHL... it would be glorious!

I remember hearing the Bj's asking price for Feds would have been Filp and maybe more, for the fact that we're in the same division.

Asking me that is like asking a mother which child she loves more...their both equal and special in their own way. I will say this though, being able to watch Feds in his prime, in the new NHL would be magical.
