Howard is keeping the puck out of the net. He cant control his opponents skill level. This year was Howards first legitimate shot at the big leagues. He has taken his opportunity and has shined. Why cant you just be happy for the kid? Ill say it again Howard's job is to stop the puck, He is doing that verywell. End of story.

You're thinking too much. You do realize Howard is a rookie right? Howard has been playing great. It's exactly what the Wings need right now with their scoring problems. LETS RIDE THE ******* WAVE FOR AS LONG AS IT GOES!! People were throwing Howard under the bus before he even started a game this season. Now apparently he is playing too good for some people. Unbelievable! I'll ask again. Do people actually watch the games or just check the box score afterwards.

Scoring is the problem. Do people watch the games or do people just spew stats and numbers like they are the end all to any argument?

People seem to be missing the point. The Wings are getting the goaltending they need to win games from Howard. Why fix what ain't broke? Once Howard slumps, Ozzie will be given a chance to win #1 spot back. What's wrong with rewarding a player for playing good?

The Wings don't have the luxury of giving Ozzie a few games to "find his groove." J-Ho is already in his groove and until he slumps or Ozzie proves he is capable with the few games he is given, he can take the backseat. Starter was Ozzies to lose at the start of the season and as far as I'm concerned, he lost it. Its a great concept: reward players who are playing good with more ice time.

Brodeur probably wears the smallest pads of any modern NHL goalie. They dont ask how, just how many. What an amazing accomplishment. I Just wish I was able to watch the game.

I find it funny that people are already making excuses like the Wings have already lost. Not that there not legit reasons or anything...

Considering Khabibulin is on IR and out indefinitely, I doubt he will be 100% come February. It's been over a month since he as played a game. From articles I have read, he could be out for a long time with some sort of back problem, which has been a reoccurring problem with him. My money is on Bryzgalov.

Barry Trotz has to get some consideration. Underrated coach IMO.

I think Leino set himself up for disappointment with his exceptional play last season in the few games he played (much like Ericsson). He is an undrafted rookie who has been given a larger role on the team than he is probably ready for because of injuries. Personally, I have been happy with his play thus far. He payed his dues in the AHL (unlike some) and works his ass off on the ice. People need to expect there will be some growing pains with him. All in all I respect the hell out of the guy and wish nothing but the best for him.
