When Datsyuk’s contract was renewed, I thought it was a little steep. Now it is completely reasonable and like daniel1 said in a few years it will be a steal. If Buffalo’s management was smart they would have done the same thing with Briere and/or Drury.

Let’s not forget they still have Legace in net, so even if they do make the playoffs, they won’t make it past the first round.

I visited LGB.com and seems like everybody is already all over Kariya’s nuts already. Seriously I hope he makes you guys better so we don’t completely run away with the Central division next season.

Well if that is true then apparently Schneider was not interested in playing for the Wings at the same price and would have chosen to play for the ducks anyway, I’m fine with that he should do what he thinks is best for him. I for one will not loose any sleep over loosing Schneider. I think Rafalski is an upgrade anyway. But seeing Schneider regret leaving when the Wings win the cup next year will be sweet. Agreed. Matt will be missed, but I see no reason to hate the guy. He did what’s best for him and that’s how it should be, a fat paycheck and he went to a contender. Some of you sound like a 14 year old that has been dumped.
