LOL! in all seriousness, their stream quality is quite good! but about the topic, wow i hope that post doesn't have any truth in it, but i wouldn't be entirely surprised. the NHL says that Versus is "available" in 99% of the US market, but the TRUTH in the matter is that it's available in 99% of the market if you get higher end cable. That logic is absolutely retarded. the NHL is telling a half-truth, and it just makes me irritated. i LOVE the NHL and will watch it anyway i can, but lets get real, there is a group of NHL teams that get way way way too much airtime on the national broadcasts on Versus and NBC (you know who!) for example, this is the 2nd week in a row that the Devils have been on a Versus game ,that's just silly. i think Versus needs to open up more coverage and have more double headers like CBC does every single weekend. Also, the NHL needs to do something to get Versus on more BASIC cable channels, it's just common knowledge to know that not everyone has digital in every room or even in their home to begin with.

I TRUST MINE EYE TO DR RHAMANI!!
-
agreed. he seems a bit tooo hard on himself as a goalie. hopefully someone picks him up and he can split time as a starter or something that wont make him want to kill himself.
-
yet i will still miss Holmstrom in the lineup, the team tends to kind of struggle without his in your face presence in front of the net. As good as a player as Franzen is, he is no Homer!
-
i think the star cam is very silly, but i will still watch the NHL on NBC any chance i get to give them the ratings...as much as pierre can annoy me at times

im starting to get a bit scared at Osgood's play, and i absolutely love the guy. no ozzie, no cup. it's that simple. either way, the good from tonight's game, Hossa is simply amazing. great to see Zetty net one as well.
-
agreed 100% Hossa and its a no brainer to me
-
this may sound so silly but when i read about this it felt ....heartbreaking. he was having such a good year and watching the many Habs games ive been able to, he seemed to have been playing with a jump in his step and a real nice offensive touch. i know as of now its only speculation but what are the chances he makes it back late in the year? playoffs?
-
a win is a win. glad to see the 4th line contribute with a goal as well :]
-
well put. i feel it's a real possibility to have hossa stay. if it means no franzen and no hudler, so be it. hossa is a superstar that does nothing but consistently produce. yes, franzen is a very good scorer, and hudler is having the best year of his career, but hossa is on a whole different plane when it comes to his skill.

here here! i especially do not understand why any Red Wings fan would have a problem with a team loaded with Europeans. Ever since the Wings have been winning Cups and playing as a real contender, there has always been a large amount of Europeans on the team. do the rest of us Wings fans want to have the new nhl version of Bob Probert on their team and have a loser like the Wings did? it doesnt make any sense to me. Sure, i love a hard hitting intense game myself, but it's not priority #1 as a fan. Yet at the same time i would love to see the Red Wings play an all around more physical game

Kopecky needs to go.

i am the type of fan that doesn't care whether the Red Wings have a team full of Canadians or team full of Swedes, im not Don Cherry (although i respect and like him). I consider myself a big time fan of hockey and the NHL. i care about the Red Wings being WINNERS, not north americans, although i do enjoy the scraps in the game and the hard hitting from primarily north american players, when it all comes down to it; the only thing i care about is seeing a winning team. ill watch every game i can. Canadian or not.

the last game against the blue jackets was a bit disappointing, hopefully the Wings can come out and take it to a stars team that are sticking around the playoff hunt and have a real chance if they string some wins together. id expect to see them come out hard against the Wings. nonetheless, hopefully Turco continues to struggle between the ears when it comes to playing against the Wings. hmmm wonder who gets called up for the game?
-
count me in! if trading Flip means keeping Hossa, i dont see how anyone could be against that. Even if Flip were having a career year, id still move him if it means Hossa sticking around.
-
WOW! i was floored when i saw the thread title, and then to read the details and see that he signed for a cap hit of just SIX MILLION per year is just....im beyond words right now. i cant believe that holland got this done, at the rate, and the length. i dont care thats its for 12 years, if anything i think it just proves absolutely that Zetterberg meant it when he said he wanted to a be a Red Wing his entire career, and nobody has to worry about any future contract negotiations 4 or 5 years down the line and on top of that, this makes me have some real confidence that it is actually very possible to keep Marian Hossa as well AHHh!! agf;lksfjads;lfkj

im very excited that the NHL is back in action, but im sad that Lidstrom and Datsyuk are ....suspended. looking forward to a hard fought and competitive game. go ozzie, go wings!
-
Zetterberg denies report of rejecting 10yr, $75 million deal.
kylee replied to rage's topic in General
why would he reject that? he said he wanted to spend his whole career in Detroit? something isnt making sense. -
hopefully the Wings can win the game they should; even if its on the tail end of a back to back after a hard fought game, im still hopeful go wings!
-
i cant believe anyone would actually like a guy who faked an injury the way he did.
-
reminds me of pierre mcguire! he's such a tooool. great win by the Wings though, great game.
-
agree 100% the Habs do have a lot of hype this year, and its kind of tiring to be hearing about them all of the time. im pulling for them because of Lang, but i dont want them to be toooo successful you know!
-
im really looking forward to this one. games between the ducks and wings always seem to be good! id just like to see Draper do something good after realizing how bad his +/- is go wings!
-
that was quite profound! i agree with just about everything you said with the exception of Mr. Meech. While i think he has done a solid job while he has been in there, i think he needs to play more before i can really judge how his play goes. oh, and i think Ozzie deserves a higher grade than a C. You did say he may be on the upswing again and i think that's definitely the case, but Conklin has been a great surprise to me with his strong play.
-
the Wings just absolutely dominated the Stars tonight and it was great to see. also: the more i see of Hossa the more iwant him around here long term. Ozzie, you were brilliant.
