i was quite concerned after the first period when i saw the Wings down by two to the lightning of all teams. but, they played hard and pulled off a nice comeback hossa is a beast

i thought the chic thing was to hate on maltby because he's a shadow of himself and brings nothing to the team? guess i missed the memo! but seriously: maltby has been playing great in his role lately, as well as mac and draper. al;kdsfjasf makes me soo happy!

Osgood was fantastic. and this was a great game to watch, very exciting. the only part about tonight i didnt enjoy is that i wont be getting any Wings action until next saturday. thats a long and strange break; but understandable after this road trip.

draper is awesome, i love what he does and who he is to the team, i just really wish he had more of an offensive side.

LOL i dont get some people here...they want a tough defenseman who will stick up for his teammates...lillypads does it. then people complain that he isnt a good fighter. he does everything a stay at home defensive defenseman should do. he's not a giveaway machine anymore and he really doesn't take stupid penalities. lilja is the type of defenseman that is playing good when you either A. forget that he is on the ice or, B. throws a nice hit once in a while

i dont have a problem with lillypads anymore. he signed a two year deal, he's a bottom end defenseman, andd i think he plays just fine.

hmm the Wings better score more goals than last year to win around the same amount of games they did! even though i wasnt much of a hasek fan while he was here, he was obviously better than conklin.

are you talking about in terms of keeping hossa or zetterberg? if so, then of course i agree with you. but i think there is going to be a way to keep them both. i thought next off season a decision is going to have to be made in deciding to keep: hossa huder franzen samuelsson notice of course im assuming zetterberg is going to be resigned during the season no matter what. i let sammy walk, and work on signing 2 of the 3 plays left. my choices as of right now are hossa and franzen. i just dont see how it'd be possible to retain hossa,hudler and franzen

not the prettiest win of all, but a win is a win. Franzen is forreal. Wings defense still looked...unlike themselves.

the Wings defense looked lazy and uninterested. first game, no huge deal, but it still would have been nice to see the Wings come out firing.

thatd be awesome, but who would really need a motivating factor to play harder/better when youre already in the NHL? i just hope Kopecky can stay healthy and chip in some goals.
