the excitement i feel right now is akin to that of Christmas morning when i was a young kid. i cant really explain how happy i am that the NHL is back, and the Red Wings are defending champions...im so looking forward to the stanley cup ceremony tonight, and the game itself..and to check out how Hossa and everyone plays GO WINGS GO!

id rather just be a realist instead of planning a back to back parade for next june. i have high hopes for the Wings but im sure you and many here have watched hockey long enough to know that the best team isnt always standing at the end of the playoffs.

Vladifan, you sound like a voice of reason in a mad house. Mats DOES sound like a reasonable, thoughtful, and patient guy. He HAS to know that even IF the canucks signed him, they would have a hard time making the playoffs let alone seriously contending for a Cup. IF Sundin is really pursuing a Cup at this point in his career, i just have to believe that the Red Wings are on top of the list. We HAVE to be, we're just fresh off a Cup win. Sundin doesn't need any more money.

well. it looks like a few of us here might be eating our words if Bertuzzi ends up back here.. but who knows about 97.1 they jump the gun on quite a few things. like when Homer got injured in the playoffs and Mike Valenti said he was done for the rest of the season and he missed what, one game?
