hmm well if they use Malone's money to resign Hossa i guess that works for them. You will still have to deal with the 3 top players for Pittsburgh: Crosby, Malkin, Hossa. Coming into the Cup finals i was very scared of their offense, not so much anymore and of all the places Ryan Malone would end up, Columbus.

the Wings have been on the decline since 2000, its all good guys!
-
i hope he resigns here. but not for too much.
-
i actually like Kitna for plenty of reasons, but man, i cant believe he didn't learn his lesson from last season...
-
wow im never in this forum and i did not realize that the LGW community had some soccer/football fans in it!! ive been watching quite a lot of the EURO 2008. im rooting for Sweden!

its amazing to me that the three most popular sports in the US all have severe problems in their game with the refs, players, substance abuse, or all three. im not saying i dont watch basketball, baseball, or football because i do, but id be lying if i said that knowing about these scandals dont bother me - esepcially refs fixing games in basketball. im so happy that hockey doesn't have this crap, but i forgot, its a ninche sport.

no way to avery. i could dig Demitra or Naslund. Hossa seems like he wants to stay in Pittsburgh. as for Jagr, he is one of my favorite players but just off a random assumption he would probably want too much money and he also said that if he was going to play anywhere it would be in New York. my vote goes for Naslund, but only at the right price, and with Kenny Holland never forgetting the big pay day coming up for Zetterberg.

lilja makes too many costly mistakes and he's slow. someone should assasinate him.
-
ah yes, an Alex Ovechkin type...but grittier and North American.
-
so because i dont know everything about Jimmy Howard and his stats mean i cant throw in my opinion about the idea of an unproven goalie playing in the NHL?
-
Lidstrom and Osgood, do they get their numbers retired?
kylee replied to SFwingsfan's topic in General
Lidstrom : no doubt Ozzie: i love him, but no. -
touche. but my point still remains. he has yet to win a game. but i must clarify: i do not know much about him just what ive seen in those few games.
-
he needs to earn his spot. but on a happy sidenote: i did a roster update on my NHL 08 and Abdelkader was created and placed on the team... a few years down the line in my dynasty, he is 90 overall with blazing speed and hitting. lets hope they're right!!
-
how is Howard ready? ive barely watched much of him, but isnt he without a win in the NHL? and the few times he played last year he seemed to really struggle.... not very promising looking at our goalie of the future.
-
even though i totally expected this to happen...its still a bit weird to see he's finally calling it quits. especially the last two years he has made me extrememly nervous when he played, but his style was his very own, and in this year's playoff he proved to be a real team player and go out on top. Hasek has truly done it all.

woohoo! sounds good to me. come back again mac!!

pretty straight forward question. the only hockey i watch is of course the NHL and a little bit of the AHL, but they're both during the same time. any leagues or elite leagues i can watch online that would be some decent hockey to watch until the NHL starts back up? thanks guys!
-
very nice! one of the talking heads at ESPN said after the game 5 thrilled that "hockey is still hockey' take that!
-
yes!! you know what to do, kenny`!!

Naslund made 6 mil last year. if he took a bit of a cut, id want him. but even though i really really like the idea of seeing Naslund in a Wings uni, i still think 6 mil is too much for him, and Sundin both
-
sundin wants big money? all the more reason to go after markus naslund
-
i really hope he comes back. and if Drake retires (i think he will) that means that Downey and Mac can both be in the line up (granted theyre both resigned)
-
i hope Drake comes back but i dont see any reason why he would want to. what a perfect way to put a cap on your hard working career to come back to the team that drafted you and win it all. as for hasek, i can live with him being on the team again, as long as he's content as a back up.

Drake was DEFINITELY enjoying it, awesome!!
