franzen blows up offensively and is playing some of the best hockey of his life and he's everyone's first choice? i know its if you HAD to choose but man i dunno... he's playing out of his mind.

hockeytown is proving its worth once again. i cant get away from all the red and white being sported. at school, car flags, many houses have stanley cup banners, Chris Osgood's neighbors made a fake seemingly full size stanley cup and put it in their front yard and have lights on it at night. this is incredible. but noooo talking heads like mark wilson and rob parker say no one cares about hockey here. theyre so UGH! i dont care about them!! this IS hockeytown and it always WILL BE. ONE WIN AWAY and THIS HAPPENS: have fun tonight everyone, make it loud wherever you are. GO WINGS!!!

maltby isnt a free agent. i think he has another or two on his contract (he just signed one during this season)

uhmmm the only addition i would make is if/when Drake, Mac, or Cheli retires. id like to get a depth forward but i dont know at this point if Franzen is legit (and i really feel he is) he's the perfect solution to secondary scoring and Hudler of all people has proven that he can bring it as well.

my heart wants chris osgood to win it, but my mind says the Conn Smythe will be going to Zetterberg.

i disagree outside of his "turnover" in game 3 of the Cup finals i think he has played great. do you (or anyone for that matter) think that if we had a defense with Lillypads and Lebda and Cheli in there we would be here? Stuart > Lilja/Lebda/Chelios

just makes me thankful Ken Holland/Jim Nill/Hakan Andersson don't go crazy at the deadline/don't sign free agents that don't fit in with the team's style of play (save a few names, but nothing major). i just marvel at the way things are done in the organization to continue to produce a Cup contender year in and year out. and if all goes well monday night, another Cup championship team!

exactly. Yesterday's game was called HORRIBLY and im not one to hardly ever complain about refs but the Wings still made it happen. i think the inevitable has already begun. I think the Wings cannot be stopped on monday at home with a chance to win the Cup.

i totally agree. that camera view is HORRIBLE. for some reason i watched the game on NBC tonight... most likely watching game 5 on CBC.

my speculation would be either Shanny re-signing with the Rangers or just retiring. i LOVED when he was here, but he has dropped off in every part of his game, and i just dont see where he'd fit on this team anymore.. and besides i remember Shanahan as a scorer and a go-to guy. his last year here he scored 40 goals. i KNOW he didn't do that in New York. and that was just a one season difference.
