this is the biggest thing ive noticed about the Pens this year in general/play offs. yes they have a great offense, but the Wings arent far behind them. what is the rhetoric we always hear as sports fans? "defense wins championships" i have no reason to believe it wont be the case here. i honestly do think the wings will win the stanley cup, but that doesn't mean i wont be nervous each and every game! ps. also: crosby and malkin realllly seem to not like getting roughhoused. i mean its obvious that no star players really like to get nasty but its been noticeable to me. if they get slowed down, and on top of that hit at every chance. they both get frustrated.

i dont even want to bother with hockey central tonight... i already know what theyre going to be saying. dallas stars blah blah blah marty turco is the best ever blah blah. red wings are choking. i think im just gonna watch the game on CBC instead....

i really hope ozzie comes in and slams the door. and any goal from cleary/sammy/or Rex/or even Flip would be HUGE. just imagining the game and how wild the crowd is going to be is already making me feel sick...

wow just now realized that chelios is out. lets just hope this game doesnt go to OT so Lilja doesnt turn the puck over in his own zone. i am so nervous, i dont know what to expect anymore... first 10 minutes will say a lot about the game nonetheless, go wings.

i agree. Cheli should hang em up after this year. his age is definitely showing and he has too many close calls.

such a frustrating game to watch.. dallas has won 2 in a row. actually won a game at JLA, has given up one goal the last two games and turco seems to be hot while detroits scoring has gone away. id like to know how anyone wouldnt be concerned at this point. i miss franzen.

well why would even Al Macinnis be on the powerplay on a team that has the Shinguard Assassin? his shots are devastatingly heavy. with pin point accuracy, and in the rare 1 out of 100 times he actually misses the net, the puck just smacks the glass and puts the goalie into a scared frozen state (much like a deer in headlights) i dont understand why Mikael Samuelsson doesn't play 45 minutes a night...

im probably the minority here but i dont mind JLA much at all. i like the place, the history, the statues, its location... sure there are a few downsides to the place, but i think they're way overblown. GO WINGS

i dont think the Wings played all that bad. Lets just be fair, Turco showed up, so did their offense. hopefully the curse of JLA (for him) lives up to its name on saturday...

im not gonna get too crazy about this game. the Homer interference actually wasnt. i dont even think Homer touched turco. and then to have Homer hit the post in the 3rd... it just wasn't our night tonight. i hope im not saying this saturday night. the door is open for dallas, but im definitely not going to freak.

i can assure you that neither one of the "mike's" know what they're talking about when they somehow amazingly talk hockey on their show. id prefer them to not talk hockey if this is what is going to come from it...
