ive been very impressed by Franzen lately. he's really showing up, but the most important thing is that the Mule keeps it up deep into the playoffs!

to me, i think downey is going to be the one sitting the most during the end of the season and if not all of the playoffs. Drake does more for our team. he can chip in a few goals, is always hard working, works on the penalty kills and he has experience. maybe they'll rotate games, but who knows. but what i just said above is my best guess.

would have been lame-r if the Wings lost the game. yeah, it was unforunate to see three goals go in during the 3rd, but im not very worried about it at all. come on fellow LGWers! the secondary scoring is showing up!! thats enough to make me rejoice.

i cant find any tickets for sunday's game

not that im happy about anyone being injured, especially after taking a skate to the leg? crazy BUT, boy was i happy when dallas drake fought him the very first game of the season. that little visor fighter.

trying to be as unbiased as i can... Sammy has picked up his play the last couple weeks, and even hustling for the 50/50 pucks. he's netted a few, and his shot was the reason Franzen was able to get in position and score the game winner last night. id like to see Sammy keep it going and hopefully carry it into the playoffs of course. lets not forget, he was the one who scored the two Wings goals against San Jose to put them to bed last spring.

let's not all freak out cause he hasn't already signed a 3 year extention in his contract - he's been a Wing for what, a week? i dont know if i want him to stay or go, he's played two games so...

im not just saying this because Rafalski scored a goal and had a take down last night: im extremely pleased with Kenny Holland going after this guy and signing him to a big contract. He is such an adqute and in some cases, better replacement than Schneider. I can't get enough of this guy, for some reason, he just seems to have that demeanor on ice that just looks like he isnt the type to get jarred in a high pressure sitation or a game 7 esque game.

collectively, this board seems to be falling in love with Downey. i like him in the role he's in, just wish he had SOME offense to him, although didn't he get an assist yesterday? haha the end of that game where the three Blue's Goons were like, basically trying to corner him was just pure hilarity. multiple cheapshots, what, did they all want to fight him at once? props to Downey though, he said he'll only fight when someone runs a player or the like. im gaining respect for him simply because he's staying in his role and seems to really appreciate being on the Wings and in the nhl. i have no problem cheering to that.

dallas loses at home to phoenix 2-1 and Hawks shut out the Ducks 3-0 its always a good night to see the Ducks lose.

maltby played good last year in the play-offs and i specifically remembering him scoring such a garbage goal against the Ducks at the Joe. it was like up in the air and he whacked it with his stick and went in. the only downer to the goal was that like less than 5 minutes later the ducks scored and took back the lead and im pretty sure won that game. hopefully maltby can score again tonight!
