Avs are gonna have some trouble making a serious playoff push. yes, they have the 8th seed but the Canucks are right there with them, as are the Preds. the Avs have faced so much injury this season, but if i remember right with Forsberg and Foote going back to Colorado that they were just gonna go nuts and eliminate the Wings in the first round.

agreed. plus, Avery never really did anything for me.

no play-offs coming for the Leafs...again. kinda sad to see really..

so glad to see Cleary come here and succeed. he's such a gritty player who never gives up on a play. he's definitely earned his keep.

i love threads like this cause last year and this year all i hear from certain detroit sports talk show (singular) that say that Hockey is irrelevant in this city and around the US. i think hockey might be on the up, honestly. US hockey is really starting to show itself here with great young players and now the numbers prove people care about the NHL. if the NY Islanders are the only team below 14 K per game, thats a great sign. attendence up, Wings are selling out again, Versus ratings up. but i thought the nhl was dead rob parker and mark wilson

a few quick thoughts. offense: +0 i think we're even with last year to be honest. the zetterberg line is nuts, but the secondary scoring comes and goes like last year. defense: +2 Kronwall is coming into his and i cant applaud Kenny Holland because he found a replacement for Schneider in Rafalski. i didnt know much about him but he seems to be a big time player. Lilja is better than last year, and Cheli is solid as a rock Goaltending: +3 Ozzie has revived his career and was an allstar. Hasek has recovered greatly after his very slow start. Two goalie tandem is great for this team, despite Ozzie's current struggles. i guess the biggest indicator will be April and further.

im going to continue to watch this specificly for two reasons. 1. more Ovechkin goals 2. a brawl.

i dont get people who bash on him "over celebrating" his goals, this guy is nuts and he gets me exciting and i like neither the caps or the Bs

i cant wait to see Mac play with the Wings again. regardless of what anyone thinks, including myself, ill just be cheering him on like no other. congrats on the comback mac! now let's make it count if you know what i mean.

water under the bridge to me. yes, he's an outstanding goalie, but honestly, and take this for what you will, he hasn't absolutely wowed me yet in his career. i dont think he's at the point of winning the big games yet. thats not to say he wont be there soon.... just dunno if it will be with the canuckleheads.

i think lillypads is more valuable to this team than Lebda (id like to keep them both) but if it came down to it.... bring on the Pain Train.

seriously!! he could have just tried to stick check the guy and probably would have had a goal go in, instead he sold out his body and made a play.

very impressed with Kronwall this entire season, not just tonight. with Stuart as his new defense partner, im looking forward to seeing them play more.

that rocket by maltby was awesome to see. usually he's all about the garbage goals (not saying thats a bad thing!)
