you know im not exactly a Lang fanatic, although i do like the guy (obviously) but i never really questioned his passion for the game, if you mean how he played here, in his non physical manner, my point would be that Lang never was a phyiscal forward, his style has never been to get in the corners and really fight for a puck, he works the half - boards and is a good passer. he was the whipping boy here, but last year , putting up 44 points or whatever it was, didnt help either.

yep, im glad Holland didn't resign him. although when he was traded here, i was supportive of him and being on the team. but even when he was here, you could tell he was just a shadow of his former self. here's his line from his season thus far (not exactly power forward dominant, if youd ask me) GP G A P +/- PIM 46 12 18 30 6 45

in all seriousness though, dont you think Lilja has become a better stay at home defensemen than just even, mid last year? something happened last year where he fought a few people and really started to sure up on the defensive side. but the one glaring thing about lillypads of course are his turnovers up the middle. so take him for what you will - i actually like him, and id keep him around.

in my eyes, who are you gonna ship off then? there's no way i would deal Filppula - although he's been pretty much invisible the last couple of weeks. whose really left to deal from the roster? sammy? anyway..... Kronwall - although injured again, he seems to be making real strides in his overall game this year - he's a keeper to me, especially with Lidstrom not getting any younger Cleary - im not giving him up - putting up numbers while still a very hard player to defend against because of his grit and im glad Holland isnt gonna sell the farm. i dont know what to offer to Florida or Atlanta if none of those guys are gonna do the trick.

Franzen is a mystery to me. some games, he'll be very offensive and use his body to a great advantage. other times he's a sluggish, non factor. granted, he's still very young. but in Detroit, its all about the here and now. if it meant giving up Franzen to get Jokinen, im all about that, or to get Hossa. would FLA/ATL bite for getting this in return for one of their top players? Franzen/Huder/Prospect/ 1st round

this team seriously needs to wake up, its a tie game, against the team that knocked you out last year. anything to spark this game/team downey fighting someone, a couple of big hits SOMETHING. the game is tied, but the Ducks seem like they have the control.

you got it right on. the wings are dealing with some injuries and the hated ducks are in their house. well, here's the adversity we've been waiting for. if any of you guys are going to this game you NEED to be full throat for the Wings, and reactive to every solid hit and scram after every play. it seems to me, if there was ever a time the Wings needed the fans to really be into the game, and support, its today. come on people! lets not throw this team under the bus cause a few (granted key) injuries hit us. lets go wings!

those pictures are just killin me hahah. but seriously tho, Lillypads had his bone head moments and up the middle turnovers from time to time, but overall id keep him as a 5th or 6th defensemen. leads the team in hits, blocked shots. those of the type of things that go unnoticed but make a huge difference in a game, but then again so do his big turnovers. its a love - hate thing with me for Lillypads. ps. anyone else notice how clear his English is? crazy.

i sure hope so. tomorrow is big as they come in the regular season. ill be up for it big time. Emerick and NBC doing the game. if you're going to the game at the joe tomorrow i NEED you guys to be super loud and into it, and of course, booing Pronger to no end.

its a win win with mccarty if he gets things together. more toughness on the team. hopefully the Wings can add a scorer at the deadline. the only real question on who goes down if Mac comes up, but although i do like him, itd most likely be sirDrake.
