hey, now i remember why i dont read the free press! and where was this guy? the Wings getting knocked out early in the playoffs? thats so 2006.

you know folks, i was completely convinced at the 10 minute mark of the 3rd that this game was over. the Wild were completely on the defensive. Cleary gets a seeing eye goal, and would you believe it, they come back and take this one. now i could be negative about how they played and how they "stole" one, but you know, in the playoffs this is the type of game that Champions win, hard nosed, grinding, and keepin on and the teams that are successful in the playoffs find ways to win no matter who or how. great job tonight. minny gets A LOT of credit. go wings!

uhhhhhhh i think i need the memory removal tazer from the men in black movies to erase that period from my mind. ps. minny and the entire crowd is hype. although they got swept last year but the Ducks, they might be a sleeper team if they can get things together.

i honestly think it will factor in what he does in the playoffs in his limited time. yeah obviously were not looking for timely goals from him, but if he can stand up against the goons from Anaheim, id say he's worth keeping around - i like him. although i think his sporadic playing time is due to dally being with the Wings too of course.

i just.... wow i think sammy has such great potential, to be a consistant 20 goal scorer really. but his selfishness with the puck just kills him, his wrist shots directly on the crest of the goalie honestly 75% of the time (hey at least he's accruate) and his tedious head fakes trying to get around the players standing up the blue line. SAMMY : PASS THE PUCK!!

dom in tonight if the rotating is right. i dont know why but it just seems like Detroit is due to get downed soon. and this being on the road, against the new "hockeytown" i think minny has as good as a chance as ever with the Wings struggling 2nd tier scorers of late. but with that being said, lookin forward to this one. lets go wings!

now that i actually have it, i like versus. more cable providers just need to pick it up and put it on the basic package so its available to the most people.

if that's true, and if Jokinen gets moved to calgary, this whole western conference arms race might be very well true. if calgary adds him to the mix, they very well may be able to shake up some things in the conference. about sammy: you hit it spot on, no one is gonna want him, especially a place where he was before, in return for their best player.

it actually started two weeks ago. had a break for the all star weekend, and resumed today (which by the way, the NYR @ MTL game was very exciting) i love the NHL on NBC as for the Versus schedule, i have no idea why, but i always try to watch those games when the wings arent on (it beats watching sopcast yaknow )

i understand what you're saying, but id rather have a small guy like Hudler and have him put up numbers than have a big guy as is Franzen who scores 9 goals and 14 points and looks like he's wearing cement skates when he's on the ice.

im with you, but i still might pull the trigger to bring in Jokinen, then again, whose gonna fill the Kronwall void, Derek Meech?

i really like Kronwall, but if it came down to landing Jokinen, id go for it. dont forget to throw in Franzen, he does nothing for me. a guy with a lot of size and strength, and has scored 9 goals thus far. he's a mystery to me.

i love the idea for jokinen. if the Wings can't land sundin or Hossa (my preference) jokinen would be a great addition. he's hating it in florida (and would you blame him?) obviously that contributes to his -11 in playing on a team like florida. 1st rounder / Franzen / prospect for Jokinen

good point. Filppula did have a good play off run - especially it being his 1st real go round in the playoffs. although he was -2 he did have 3 goals and two assists.

this isnt directed to you at all , BUT i dont get why some people here are all about bringing Fedorov back to Detroit. ' he's had injuries this year, and look at his stats : Season GP G A P +/- PIM PP SH GW 2007-2008 46 8 19 27 -4 28 5 0 1 he's on the minus side, and only has 27 points. he has one more point than Filppula, and he's + 27 yeah i understand being on a bad team like Columbus, your +/- is gonna take a hit, but the truth of the matter is that he just isnt a producer like he was in the mid 90's with the Wings. i dont think he would do much here.

here's a winner! i cant stand anyone who just hangs around for over half a season and comes back.... (hopefully) just to tank it in the playoffs

but....i thought the cup was already theirs? the Wings found a way to come back after Boston kept hangin around for a good chunk of the game. ozzie was brilliant, and Zetterberg just keeps scoring lately. 7 in a row! also: the red wings are 8 wins away from breaking the 100 point mark, and its February 2nd.
