the Bruins fans seem to really be getting up for this one. it'll be nice to see the Wings play the B's for once. with that in mind, i am a bit concerned as its the back end of back to back games, with detroit traveling there. either way, ill be rooting for a good outcome tonight. should be a good one! go ozzie! go wings!

welcome back dom, hopefully the Wings can make it happen tonight against an injured avalanche team. ps. i dont know how many of you out there listen to parker and the man (now on 1200 AM) but i am on the verge of not listening to them anymore after 6 years. They (especially mark - but rob parker isnt far behind) continuously ramble on about how no one here in detroit cares about the red wings or hockey, and thats really the only time they talk about hockey, but on some ocassions they'll talk boxing. im so sick of them saying people dont care about hockey in detroit. hockey is my favorite sport of all, and i consistently watch any nhl game i can come across, but what do i know? im not a talk show sports host. go wings!

hmm it seems like you and i both agree with mr osgood's luck hasn't run out. ozzie was spectacular last night. the wings have two starting goalies and i love em both, but i think i pull for osgood to be totally lights out just a bit more because so many people have been writing him off or discrediting him as some crap 2nd tier goalie around the league. osgood's redemption starts with the all star game, and ends with a stanley cup? hmmm

yeah cause i can see Washington shipping Ovechkin and his 13 year contract over here, or Pittsburgh parting ways with Crosby. including those two players in even theoretical trade talk just seems to be a way for you to argue with people.

i cant imagine the Wings without Zetterberg just because currently he has a little back flare up doesn't mean he deserves without a doubt, top dollar amount and length on his up coming contract.

i dont want Holland to rent players to win the Wings a stanley cup - afterall, all that would do would be to fan the flames of people who really watch the Red Wings and say how we bought a stanley cup in 02. id love for Detroit to either stand pat or make a move to pick up a grinding player and take out the Ducks that way.

the way the Wings controlled play and answered the bell with equal physicality last night is probably one of the biggest statement's games i can remember from the Red Wings. yeah theyre overall destroying the league in the regular season, but that didn't seem to bother them very much in 02 now did it?

im so proud of the Wings after this one. the team as a whole. cleary sticks up for himself against goon #1, kopay made some plays and generally played hard. Dom really help it together. detroit wasnt man - handled by the Ducks they answer every bell to the physical play good stuff Wings!

i actually really enjoy the games on NBC. i love Doc Emerick's style, pierre mcguire? not so much. also: let me get this straight, the NHL on NBC is skipping next week, why? and then coming back on super bowl sunday? (altho the hockey game IS on in the afternoon)

Still MIGHTY it is impossible for their to be a "good clean fight" tonight. you see, the team you obviously have great endearment for has many goons on their squad. and your beloved team is captained by one of the biggest goons of all, Chris Pronger. no offense to you or Duck Guy, but i can never have respect for someone in the game who skates up pretty hard against Tomas Holmstrom's back and rams his forehead into the boards and a week later gets suspended for an elbow in the Cup Finals. and i mean this too, i dont care if somehow that goon came to the red wings, i could never cheer him. i dont use this word much, but i truly hate your team. i hate how they gooned their way to a stanley cup. i really hope the wings and ducks can do it again this spring in the conference finals. say what you will about the Wings, but you know as well as anyone else who watches the NHL, the one things the Wings will always have over the Ducks is class. let me also refresh your memory:

yeah lets not jump the gun here. he is having nagging back problems. i just want him to get well ASAP and recovered. besides, imagine if that trade DID go down. Crosby, Zetterberg, and a quickly emerging young star in Hudler alll on one team.

in all seriousness, ive been quite impressed with Lilly pads the past season and a half. Granted, he has had a few bone-head moments (the most glaring of which the giveaway in OT against Anaheim last spring) if he can cut out those few big turn-overs, he can become a real good stay at home d man. signing for two years sounds good to me.

so is Nick Lidstrom. ive been very impressed with Rafalski thus far, and yes, he does make a turnover every now and again, but you can't agree with his game. On pace for a career year in a big way. the perfect guy to replace the loss of Schneider.
