yeah tell me about it. last year was great, nashville right up with detroit at every turn...you guys had one of the best from the avs/wings rivalry in Forsberg and it seemed like the rivalry was getting ready to really take off. its kind of like remembering an old friend... hope nashville gets it back together for the sake of rivalries and hard fought hockey games (although i expect nothing less from the Preds tomorrow regardless of team records - they always seem to play detroit hard..)

well, i guess the poll creator's didn't even bother to figure in Anaheim since they are, by default the north american "hockeytown" hands down. i mean just look at their stanley cup gathering, 14k. cant do much better than that!

love how the Wings are winning the poll in a landslide.. i mean, detroit isnt hockeytown anymore!@!2111 some empty seats in a horrible state enconmyy!!

this was the DVD set that i was going to recommend. i found this DVD at walmart for $35 i believe.. either way, this DVD set is AMAZING! this is so much stuff on it, including the 97 championship game in full, plus tons of red wings history, and just as good, "fight night" in hockeytown as nightfall said, it is undoubtedly worth every cent.

yeah that is a pretty huge lay over. but the Wings need it, two western road trips the first month of the season is no piece of cake. but hey, if it helps the Wings win some more games in the future, i know ill have to wait patiently until nashville next week.

with this in mind, Henrik always has looked great in red. let's keep it that way. and for contract talks, to me it wouldnt even matter, give him what he wants. deserves every cent and then some.

what if the Wings made a three way trade with Washington and Pittsburgh receiving Ovechkin and Crosby and giving up Lilja and a 5th rounder? in all seriousness though, if atlanta was shopping Hossa, id definitely give a look, but again, they'd want probably Z or Datsyuk in return, and you just dont do that.

for some reason i feel like the Wings are gonna have a hiccup tonight. i want to be wrong (like i was when they faced the Oil a few nights back) but if they play like they did against the Oil, they wont be so lucky to get bailed out by a late fortunate goal. i feel uneasy about this one.... either way, im finding that i cant doubt them much in many situations this year.. which is great. they're exploding out of the gate, so i can see tonight going both ways. Go Wingss!

next wednesday against the Preds, weird lay off calgary on thursday, nashville at home the wednesday after.
