that gets me so excited with every game i go to. nothing like movin those red curtains and seeing the stands of red and white and the sights and sounds of catching a Wings game! favorite memory: red wings winning the stanley cup in 97, on my birthday. what a treat! my mom was going crazy. all i heard were gun shots and car horns outside haha

it really sounds like he probably grew up without much. athletes make so much money as it is. its so refreshing to see a player really appreciate and put things in perspective while making NHL salary.

i think it would have been a terrible off-season if Hasek DIDNT resign. let's just look at Henrik's contract in a few years. then we'll see how good or bad this off season was. Henrik's gotta get paid, and that's worth it to me for this off season rather than seeing Kenny do something in haste with short term vision. trust me, im not happy Bertuzzi is gone and all that, but it could definitely be a whole lot worse. (we could have lost Rex!)

as much as i lovee Ozzie, there would be no way with this crop of forwards that Detroit would make it out of the 2nd round. i'll take dom over ryan smyth anyday. so glad hes back. if Detroit had to go with a different goalie situation then i would absolutely believe that this year would have been the "rebuilding" year that has been talked about for so long now. Or worse yet, dealing with Red Light Raycroft with the Wings

i would never want to see Forsberg here. too injuried. plus it just wouldnt seem right... can't help but think of him and the Avs from the good ole days from the Wings/Avs rivalry.

i think it's totally vital that the Wings re-sign Dom. i just dont understand whats taking so long since Dom has said he wants to play here? what could it possibly be? and if Detroit doesn't land a top six forward, my my the forward crop for the Red Wings does not look good. unproven youngsters and then grinders and Pav and Z and Homer. tryinggg not to panic
