hey folks time for me to throw in some post game / pre game 5 thoughts without getting totally doom and gloom. hasek - he played right into calgary's hand especially on that unsportsmanlike call (they seem to be totally convinced hes a crazy old man who can get easily irritated) i stated in an earlier thread before the calgary trip that was as fans should be nothing be estatic about a split - well obviously that didn't happen and it just seemed like the Flames played one level higher than the Wings both games. bert- youre lookin a whole lot better. hes always amazing to watch when guys go to check him and they are the ones falling down. im not totally freaking out,but im a bit concerned, if calgary can steal game 5 by all means i think this series is over in the FLAMES hand. Wings take care of business at home i think they'll eventually take it (meaning i wouldnt be surprised by a game 7) game 5 could decide the series essentially.

ever since this year had begun without steve yzerman i have thought about the possibility of the Wings winning the Cup nick should had it over to stevie Y, then the rest of the team. but then again would steve even let him do that?

^^ agreed. looking for the Wings to continue to play hard and for the forwards to keep defending themselves in the corners. i wouldn't be entirely surprised if calgary scores first at home. detroit has to counter and not get rattled. good game from dom = 3-0 lead for the good guys? if the Wings eeked out a few wins at home against the flames id be very concerned going on the road. i can definitely see calgary playing a lot better at home, but if the Wings play their game, play smart, play hard, there might not be anything the flames can do about it - whether home or away. there is nothing that ive seen so far that makes me believe that calgary can win a game right now. i think the first 10 minutes of the game will have a big say in how things go tomorrow night. lookin forward to it!

another great game by the Wings again today! the flames gave me a scare through the 2nd period. Dats and Z are playing great. Wings are in a great position going into Calgary. i think we as fans could be nothing but ecstatic if the Wings are able to spilt with Calgary and set up a game 5 put out of the flames.

^^truth. D-mac is a tough dude, but all in all, and the same about shanny, he's right. always remember their great plays and goals and fights here, but those guys have moved on.

man oh man. i am so proud of those Wings tonight. they all seemed to play great. idont think cleary got any points tonight, but he played real hard (he did NOT run Kipper) Dom was solid as ever,. and Hank, wow what can i say? he looked faster, and better than anyone else out there. Calgary : you run around like a bunch of goons stiring up trouble when you've already lost the game. i hope your team gets annihilated by Z and the gang. great start the post season
