great win by the Wings tonight. Z is just plain amazing. he seems to be outplaying everyone on the ice. and i cant wait until Hasek gets another one of his "easy" shut outs again!

hopefully that will be the same cover story for the NHL & NBA in the near future! I dunno it doesn't matter to me with the ratings and stuff, I usually watch all the hockey night in canada games and the prie time games on NBC just because I love to watch hockey. I'd like to see the NHL do better though, for the more casual fans. I just don't know what they would have to do, when the NHL came back they brought in the shootout, and that for anyone watching should be real exciting. even the NHL at its worst, i think its more exciting to watch rather than football, or basketball.

Got it. Personally though, I'd give Dats his money, or his agent's money or whatever regardless of what happens in the play-offs. but i have a feeling that Dats will help the Wings big this post season.

Yeah i've noticed that really only the 1st line is producing right now. the rest of the boys will come around. we've seen Langer and Clearly get theirs. Im not worried much.. i mean now, it would be a big time problem if we were losing and the 1st liners were the only one putting things up. but at the end of the day i can rest at ease because i know that good ole Bobby Lang is lazy and he sucks. DOOM AND GLOOM!!@$#$$#

just go back to the last play-offs for the Wings. i honestly didnt think the Oil would take the Wings out, and they shocked all of hockey and went to the 7th game of the Cup finals. moral of the story: cliche maybe, but ANYTHING can happen! thats what makes it exciting too. so, as far as reaching nashville in the standings and whatnot, im not too concerned about, a team shouldnt play in the play-off and hope to avoid a certain team. be it nashville, anaheim, or san jose.

now im super excited about the 24th.

i feel like with this trade, this nashville - detroit rivalry might be ready to explode.

id love to see Ozzie take over the starting gig after Hasek retires. Like others have said, Ozzie isnt even really that old, what 34? i think Oz should remain a Wing for the rest of his career. i love em. a proven winner, regular season and play-offs

San Jose on the other, i can see that being a big problem. nashville arent proven winners in the playoffs, yeah theyre playing great this year, but as we know just as recent as last year, the playoffs are a whole new game.

i personally wouldn't mind seeing Sammie, Franzen, Lilja or Williams go. but the question is: what valuable player could we get from shipping these guys out? People in this tread are totally right, we need grit, and a tough player. defense or winger it doesnt matter. it all brings me back to remembering Mac playing like a beast in 97 and scoring some timely goals.. ah yes.
