Extremely disappointed, but very proud of this team in rebuilding on the fly. Looking to see big steps next year, in a brand new division, in a brand new conference. I have no real preference in who wins the Cup, as long as it's not Chicago or Pittsburgh.

Glad I had to miss most of this game. Game 7, anything can happen. Best of 1.

I know it sounds fairly simple, but anytime I get to the game decently early, I've always had a lot more fun. Whenever I go, if i can, I try to get there about an hour before the game starts or so. That way while everyone is flooding in, you can be in your seat and watch all of the warm-ups/shootaround and get ready and take everything in. As for parking, leave a little early. Parking in the Greektown casino structure is usually $10, but sometimes more. Directly across the street though, is a parking lot by a Greek Orthodox Church that is a good spot if you can get there before it fills up. Another advantage with Greektown is that you can catch a free shuttle to and from the game, just look for them on the street. If you can't find a bus, take the people mover, but that does cost like a dollar or something.

Mayers should've just went all Aaron Downey and stood at the red line to do his bidding. No flying pucks, no fines. Guess he's just not that smart..

I initially picked the Red Wings in 6 games. I would love for it to be a close game where Chicago has to pull their goalie, to see the crowd go crazy and an empty net at Chicago's end. Make it happen Detroit!

as I said in the other thread, 1 more less and Chicago won't belong on the same ice as Detroit, better yet as someone else said, they won't be ALLOWED to be on the same ice as Detroit. The only other team I'd be happier beating would be Pittsburgh for the Cup. Ladies and gentle I give you, soccer on ice. between McQuire screaming about Morrow not kicking the puck (saying it about 8 times) and him saying that there is a phantom call on Crosby who did LIGHTLY hook the defenseman causing a turnover I really don't think I can take this commentary. Usually I can tolerate it, when it's Pittsburgh and Crosby it really is that much worse

to the OP, unfortunately you probably listen to the single worst sports talk show in the Detroit area. All they want to do is talk about football year round. They know almost nothing when it comes to hockey, the Red Wings, or the NHL. I used to give Terry Foster the benefit of the doubt, but I've learned over time he's just as bad as Valenti, just in different ways.

if we go up 3-1 i'll get really excited. Still so much of this series is still to be played, but this is definitely encouraging, and surprising to many.

Pretty quiet over on HFboards today from the Hawks fan huh? I don't really take them too seriously, there are far too many trolls on that main board that post all the time just to read their own replies, but through in through, this was the best game Detroit played this year. Period. If Detroit can keep this up they really will have a real chance to win this series.
