I have NBC Sports on waiting for the Stars/Sharks game to start and I just want to say that Dave Strader is just leaps better than Mike Emrick calling the game. Strader should be the #1 for the network. He calls the game fluidly, adds stories about players that actually have significance, and is a very solid pbp guy.

Pretty nuts to think that the biggest game of the season for Detroit is aginst the Coyotes at home, but it is what it is. No one is going to feel sorry for this team if they don't come out and show they want to be in the playoffs. Tonight went fairly well for Detroit, but this all means nothing if they don't take advantage of the 2 games in hand on Columbus.

Oh, I wasn't implying he was scared of Dubinsky. More than anything else kind of enjoying the fact that Columbus as a whole looked agitated after a loss. Doughty just looked funny covering his head, don't really blame him haha

Columbus 2 points up, with a game in hand. If it comes down to it, Detroit currently leads in ROW, but Columbus won the season series.

This is just silly....if we make the playoffs and are the 8th seed we're going to get steamrolled by Chicago. Yes, all 3 games against them have been close this year, but we were 0-3. Playoff games are close.

I don't think Helm comes back this season, Bertuzzi and Sammy will help. I'm not a fan of Samuelsson's but he can be clutch sometimes, and has been on a Stanley Cup team with us in 08, and can get hot. Bertuzzi and Datsyuk is a nice mix of skill and size, which both will be badly needed if the Wings make the playoffs.
