It's making me very scared that the majority of the players are saying it's not a good deal. Now I'm not so sure about a deal getting done.

I thought I read that the ELC remains at 3 years. But if that's truly all they need to tweak I'm extremely optimistic there will be a new CBA within the time frame to have an 82 game schedule

Why, in general, are players on Twitter saying this deal isn't good enough? What are they specifically unhappy about? ------- Also, I am not a Gary Bettman fan whatsoever, but he deserves credit if/when a deal gets done. The NHL side has made serious concessions, it's the NHLPA's turn to do it within that 24-48 hour frame so we can get a deal done and hockey going. I know it's not popular, and Bettman probably won't get any credit, but his side surprised me today. I was not expecting a deal like this to at least start what is hopefully the deal to be done.

Come on "Big Four" let's get to the core HRR today, enough bs about player health insurance. That will all sort out with a new CBA in place. Any legit reason for optimism for today?

I hate how in Michigan there doesn't seem to be very many casual hockey fans. It's either people that post on hockey message boards during a lookout or bust. Kind of silly if you ask me.....all else pales in comparison to hockey. I wish Michigan had the same passion that Canadian teams have. we Do, it's just significantly smaller, I'd say. Maybe it just seems that way because hockey gets crap for coverage on local radio/tv for the most part.

i take it as a good sign that a new proposal is being drafted, but at the same time all of these meetings (via phone) and them basically not getting anywhere and only talking about players health insurance is really starting to concern me....tonight is opening night for God's sake.

Wish they'd find a way to show games on tv. Watch, they'll reply games from the week at like 3am and the hockey world implodes.

will this be tape delayed so we can actually watch the games at a normal time? I approve of this. If the NHLPA and the owners are going to do short of nothing over a long weekend and a discussion on Tuesday, this is the next best resort for me. I've watched KHL games in the past online, it's good hockey--and stands to be better with so many players from the NHL over there.

Still have not discussed core HRR issues. I want to be optimistic, but if all they're going to do is talk about player safety and health insurance for players this might be a very long lock out
