he was too busy daydreaming about those $1 hot dogs at the Joe. Who can blame him?

i think its been the last two road games in a row that Murphy has taken Redmond's place as the color guy, but he mentioned in two separate broadcasts how good the miller lite graphic looked for each game. Ken Daniels ignored him both times. im like, really Murph? hes just as bad if not worse than john keating.

we need an ugly goal to get somethin going here..
-
ah yes, Ville Leino. Sergei Fedorov 2.0 for the new year.
-
sounds good to me. As much as i love the idea of the winter classic, i most likely wont watch this game as conflicted as i will be.

no one has a better shot that Lang. Eaves is awesome and playing really well lately but i dont see him being cleary 2.0

Osgood getting his 300th win in colorado? perfect.

i disagree. Hudler is in a really bad slump right now. With him, as with any player in the NHL, when you're slumping all of your weaknesses look way worse than what they normally would appear to be. So all of a sudden Huddles is getting this reputation as being Robert Lang 2.0 in all of the way senses. He'll break out of this crappy stint, but as others have mentioned, he's gotta start firing the puck. Tonight will be interesting since he's on the 3rd line with abdelkader and miller... kinda weird combo.

Ozzie gets his Christmas present for 400, Hudler gets 2.

sure, but doesn't the crux of my point stand?

is this a legit source? if so, i just dont understand how the Wings organization can be so ready to pull the trigger and send off a guy who can be a six player with 25-35 goals a year whose only 26...sure he's in some slump right now but i do believe the year before he defected he went something crazy llike 30 games in between goals. Like other young players the goal is always consistency. Why send off top six potential because of a slow start?

it's hilarious that the NHL is wanting close to $200 dollars for this service yet blackout terms apply?? A quick example, i signed up for the free trial the day of the Wings/Trashers game. Later on in that day, i go to visit my girlfriend's grandfather in the hospital who is a huge Wings fan, go to load the game, and i get the blackout message. If im gonna pay that much money for the service i should get any game i want to watch. The quality might be as good as tv, but in the eyes of a broke college kid like myself, ATDHE.net, myp2p.eu, yahoo sports and the like will do fine for me.

Bertuzzi's role? assist master

You may be on to something...Hamhuis is Canadian. But here's an equally important question: is he an Ontario boy?

idk guys i actually like the 3rds for the Jackets-- i actually hope the Jackets stay right where they are in the standings and make significant improvements this season-- they have RIsh Nash who has superstar talent and isn't named Crosby or Ovechkin. Overall i think the Jackets being a young franchise, with a superstar in Nash, and a healthy rivalry with the Red Wings can do nothing but good things for the league and in my most sincere hope, take some sort of attention away from Crosby and Ovie. Good win tonight it was good to see the Wings bounce back and play a complete game after the ATL embarrassment. Here's to another W against Columbus on sunday (which i actually really like the late afternoon sunday games).

hopeful for good things from Jiri and the 2nd line overall. As for getting rid of Hudler, thankfully that wont be happening. Not when you start slow after being out of the league for an entire season and are a young talent who could probably consistently score 25-35 a year.
-
My thoughts as well. Hopefully this will get Hudler going. He hasn't been producing many points but his play (i.e. passing, being in a good scoring position) have been pretty good actually. Here's to Huddles finding the net and getting going.
-
Huddles and Modano are both -6? Ouch. Anxious to see the 3rd line step it up and make plays.
-
Zetterberg has at least lost a step.Trade for picks?

indeed it has been a long and studious week. Very excited for this game after four days off. No prediction, just want to see them play a complete game. As for now, my anatomy book awaits me.

good for the Leafs. if they stay healthy i think they'll contend for a playoff spot. As annoying as their fans can be, its always good to see cities that are crazy about hockey have a playoff contending team. The Toronto fans deserve it. With all that said, Brett Lebda r00ls and is the reason they're defense are a bunch of stalwarts.
-
Bert healthy and not ending up in the huge slump like last year he could very well net 20+ hoping for great things from the guy.
-
i thought jiri has been making some good passes out there but honestly... the only shot i can remember him taking is where he broke towards the net in a game and shot it over the crossbar. him and filppula need to just start firing away eventually. be a playmaker, great, we need that. never hurts to shoot haha

everyone sees the PP needs to start clicking. Albeit were only 5 games in. I have faith our enforcer will be top 10 when all is said and done. Go wings.
