how much of a paycut is Bertuzzi going to take exactly? he makes 1.5 million. im sure it's possible to get Huddles back, but he's kind of traitor. basically made up a reason to jump ship and get paid.

the big components of our team are playing like it. great to see, it'll be even better to see a Win for the wings in regulation.

after my car got broken into on Cass Ave i recommend that you absolutely NEVER park anywhere in Detroit that's not a parking structure, or a monitored parking area. i drive to greektown, park in the Greek Orthodox Church (its five dollars) and catch a free shuttle from greektown to Joe Louis, both ways. it sounds like a no-brainer but get there early. i find i enjoy the trip a thousand times more. im able to watch the warm ups, go to the concessions if i want to without unending lines, and be seated and ready for the game.

i dont think Filppula will ever be a 40 goal scorer but people are way too quick to throw him to the wolves. This is what, his 3rd year in the NHL?

very good to see both datsyuk and zetterberg play a strong game. nice to see the Wings put up five goals! lets not freak out because chicago almost came back. they didn't blow the lead. Perspective: we beat the team tied for 1st place in the conference.

wings have a chance to gain even more ground if Colorado and LA lose tonight. Hang in their folks, the Wings can make a significant jump here. i think they're going to pick up their game. IF you look outside of the game against the canucks where they looked lethargic, they do seem to look like they're playing as a team more.

Lebda and Ericsson have been on equal footing in terms of play so far this year. that's saying something. Lebda, meh, you get what you see, a 6th or 7th d-man with some speed whose game is a defensive d-man role. i dont think hes all that bad

im glad holland is staying put. altho it would've been interesting to see Kozlov with the Wings again. im overall happy and want this group to focus on playing better the last 1/5 of the season and getting into the playoffs.

im all for maltby wanting to play more. he's actually having a good year, and the thing about him, and draper, is that they are the perfect role players. they don't try to do too much, and they're team players and don't have egos. I have a feeling people will later see that the darper/maltby bashing these past few years has been over blown and undeserved.

well as much as an ice cold start to the season Lidstrom had, he's been on fire since then. considering his career, his status, i think he deserves whatever he asks, but with that in mind, i think Lidstrom may very do what other great wings have done in taking a low base salary to free up room to negotiate with other players

that pretty much sums it up for me. it did suck when hossa didn't resign with the wings, but i can never, ever, under any circumstance, root for the blackhawks. imagine the worst cup finals ever: penguins vs. hawks --> no one wins!

as much as id love to see a brawl, it wont happen. like above me, a suspension would follow, which i think is rather stupid.
