We need to sign Filppula so now we can have 2 centers who score like 10 goals each and do almost nothing else. Filppula’s last good season was like 11-12

I'm hoping their is Howard's last season with us. He's too injury prone. A little off topic but since we're probably going to sign Filppula, i stumbled across a video of our 23 game home win streak (11-12 season) and it's a damn shame the Preds knocked us out. I really thought that squad had a chance to go far, and incidentally, that was the last season Filppula was good lol.

Signing Filppula now would be a very Holland thing to do: aging former Red Wing isnt nearly as good as he used to be is a UFA coming off a NMC nobody wants (see: the 2nd time we signed Samuelsson)

Apparently Holland is going to offer Kovalchuk a contract but considering he wants to sign somewhere that is a contender I don’t think we have anything to worry about lol.
