i believe this Wings team can be very dangerous but it absolutely depends on guys like Bertuzzi, Williams, and Cleary contributing (especially with the absense of franzen) were only down 1 after 1, lets keep the good momentum from the 2nd half of the first period.

its still too early to say anything about playoffs. teams still need time to gel, or fall apart. im not sure which the Wings want to do just yet. franzen will certainly help the cause of being Cup contenders

having more north american boys will surely lead to greater success......right? or maybe correlation truly doesnt equal causation. ive always stood by that i just want a team that wins and that i can identify with.

clearly a mind-lapse by Ken Holland and co. Franzen is lazy and he sucks. his lack-luster off-season training and excessive trips to mcdonalds with Robert Lang caused him to diverse from physical training, thus... ACL weakness yielded ACL tear!

i watched a portion of the 3rd via Leafs TV....that play by play guy is brutal. comparable to the play by play guy in buffalo? i would have thought the leafs were on the verge of winning the Cup by the tone of his voice

notice how dustin byfuglien goes to start more trouble (again) although i understand that their captain got leveled (on a clean hit) and thats going to cause the rough-housing, but why does a clean, hard hit need to always be succeded by a scrap?

i think Chelios still has game left in him. if i had the skills and ability to be a pro and play for as long as possible, i would do the same.

i love the 1st line, at times those three together have contended together as the best line in the league. the 2nd line should be interesting for sure... williams on the 2nd line? i guess we shall see as for the 3rd line, ive always felt that cleary is a top six guy, but draper centering bertuzzi and cleary might actually work drapers speed and cleary and bertuzzi's net presense, but i am a bit surprised @ this line. 4th line looks good.

the team needs time to adjust and gel as a new group. with the franzen injury itll certainly make things more interesting but everyone needs to put their own weight on both sides of the ice. yeah im not happya bout the 6 to 2 shelling that just happened, but we shall see..
