i dont understand why Helm didnt earn a permanent spot on the roster after last year's playoff performance. he is great @ faceoffs, forechecks like a beast, and always seems to finish his check. give me more!

the Wings played great today. they silenced all of the Ducks' offensive weapons and played an aggressive forecheck and put up 4 on Hiller. If the Wings continue to play the way they have the last 2 1/3 games, the series will be over after game 6 - and would revenge taste so sweet!

if the Wings have any chance @ keeping Hossa - they should go for it. regardless of how good our AHL team looks, as promising as some prospects look, you dont just let a superstar walk away.

ive felt all season long that the Blackhawks have been flying under the radar. the possibility of seeing a red wings - blackhawks conference final is quite desirable !

the games will only get bigger in importance for the rest of this series. very excited to see how Abdelkader will perform with this huge opportunity. i dont know what to expect but the Wings cannot let in another early goal like they did in Game 4. Series is 2-2 and they have a real chance to just take care of business and head onto the conference finals, but anything can happen.... should be a very exciting game, hopefully the crowd will be going nuts @ the joe.

the wings just simply got it done last night. the first ten minutes or so was a bit shaky but after that the Wings were able to chase Hiller. great to see hossa get two goals last night. the flip-franzen-hossa line was the best line on the ice.

so whats the point of calling up guys from Grand Rapids if you arent really going to play them? make the guys on the roster get inspired to play with some more heart and energy?

the wings need their stars to show up. simple as that. it really is do or die tonight. if the wings go down 1-3, they will not come back from that hole the way these first 3 games have played out. so much for wings in 5 huh folks? im not overly optimistic, yet im not being a pessimist either. cheer your hearts out guys, this might as well be the wings game 7.

you sound like an Obama-bot this whole goal controversy better wake up the entire red wings team. something has got to change if the wings are going to get back into this series. it seemed like the only guy that was actually getting in front of hiller was holmstrom tonight, and because of it the wings got some real good scoring chances. also the wings need to get past this ducks defense, chip it in, dump and chase, do whatever you have to do. trying to finesse around them is not happening and its wiping out the offense.
