If they ever decide that we need a new arena I will be sad as well. Been going to it since it opened and it is my hockey home. However, if they were able to make a bigger arena to allow more but cheaper seats, that wouldn't be all too bad. Maybe we all would be able to see a few more games for our money. I don't see them renovating the Joe however. I believe I read somewhere that the press box was an afterthought which really raises the question of who the heck designed the place and what were their credentials? They can surely do a better job on the next one. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining about the Joe, I love the atmosphere there and I really don't think there is a bad seat in the house. I agree with you statement about the food and beer. As long as they serve some beer with taste I am ok.

Some photos of Probie and Kocur from the event. These guys were awesome. Very personable and sat there for hours signing autographs for everyone including their book, t-shirts, jerseys, hockey sticks, women's chests. If it could be signed, they signed it. These guys have always been favorites of mine and I have several items that I obtained through friends that were signed but I always seemed to miss out on meeting them. This was a treat!

I have to say my dad as well. I remember listening to the Wings on the radio when they were not televised and on "ON-TV" which my dad had created a descrambler for. My dad also took me to several games at the Olympia including the final game there on December 15th, 1979.

Seems to be a good deal overall. If he emerges this year he will be worth it and then some! Thanks Kenny!

Thanks for sharing. Was a good read and I was laughing out loud at the guy going to use the term getting "Phaneufed." Oh hey, did anyone notice who was on the cover of the NHL Awards program? Oh, hey, did any notice on the new Red Wings Stanley Cup DVD who the ONLY player mentioned during the "Ads" at the beginning of the DVD that you can't skip? Makes me want to vomit. :puke:

Red Wings To Play Blackhawks In Winter Classic
alowicious replied to RedWingsFanatic's topic in General
Hmm, a LGW train trip from AA to Chitown? Could be fun! edit - wait, they don't serve alcohol on them trains do they? hmmm -
Kenny has said the big moves are done. My guess is that they will use some of the 4 mil to tie up some loose ends already on the team and then hold the rest for the trade deadline to insure they have some play money to fill an open spot due to injuries.

Wings out of picture for Sundin, Hossa, Rolston
alowicious replied to Redwingsfan18's topic in General
Ken Holland is a god. How the hell did he pull Hossa in for a 1 year contract? When you run the best sports franchise and have a chance at the Stanley Cup every year, it makes people think. And then a 1 year contract giving both parties an out if it doesn't work.. Awesome! Thanks Kenny! -
While your at it, you can add Datsyuk as the best NHL player as well.

Osgood has come a long way. He was always what I thought to be a pretty consistent goalie. With the D the Wings have had, that is all we needed. I still remember back in 95 when he cried because he felt he let his team down. This man has passion for the game. He knew enough to go seek some help during the lockout to prevent those long soft goals and what I have seen, I have liked. He has played the best hockey of his career this year and deserves to be recognized. Great article. GO OSGOOD! GO WINGS!!!

Hiding the thrower is imperative. If you attempt the throw, make sure you have everyone around you raise their hands and wave them so identifying the thrower is next to impossible. I am sure anyone near you will more than likely be glad to help. I am thinking hitting him probably isn't the best thing to do (Even though I would LOVE to see it). Anyhow, if anyone attempts this. Good luck and may your aim be true. GO WINGS!!

Wow, and you want people to party with you? You post at 7am and expect responses in a few minutes? I can understand that you are excited, but chill a bit. Calling people names is no way to get people to go.." I wanna party with that guy!" Hope everything goes the way we would like it to go. You will have a good time even if nobody responds. I honestly think that if you get there around that time, people who are there just wasting time before the game will start to leave and spots will open up. However, I haear more and more people want to be downtown for the hopeful celebration so It will be packed, quite possibly a line, so the earlier you can get there the better. GO WINGS!!!

Easy mistake to make, I mean the Flyers' and the Wings' jerseys both have some white, and darn it all if Steve and Aaron aren't spelled almost identically. Thank god for the 'Y' "IE" differences! Way to come running in here on your high horse and know-it-all attitude. That will be all, thank you.

Wow!! Me too!! 1st Finals game for me! Can't wait! Hoping they are up 3-1!

This is just Babcock playing the game to keep the Pens guessing! The link now says that the whole team has been replaced by the Griffins!! Go Griffs!! Ok, so it doesn't. Go Mule!! Glad he has the go! I look forward to seeing him get his game back! Go Wings!!

That last goal was cool. But Dats and Hank make those types of goals all the time as well.. so should the media share equal time with them too? lol.. Media Schmedia.. Let's play some Hockey!!! Go Wings!!

Woo, Thank you modern science! Inducing labor to keep him playing! Very nice! Congrats Draper family! you are truly blessed!

Good to hear!! If he is truly doing everything that he would do in a game, that is awesome! Hopefully he hasn't lost too much of his touch, but another big body in front of the net will prove very useful even if he doesn't score the goals. Glad Cleary is able to remove the guard. I think it has affected his play a little and we should see more production from him. Go Wings!!

Ahh, was waiting for this. Thanks Matt! Go Wings!!!

If you weren't lucky enough to get tickets, keep in mind that they tend to release more about 48 hours before the game. These tickets are reserved for media and friends and family that go unclaimed. So, check back often.

Thanks Lee Trevino. Sadly I can only grow my beard on the weekends cause I am not allowed to have facial hair at work.

Get rid of the instigator penalty. This has been one of the worst rules I have seen added to the NHL. How many injuries could have been prevented by allowing a tougher teammate to neutralize opponents taking liberties on finesse players?
