It could be a blood clot. You can not rule it out. I am not a doctor either but one of my bosses had one and he had severe headaches with it. He was lifting weights one day and thought he pulled a muscle and then developed the headache. Nothing he did would kill the pain so he went to the Doctor. It turned out that the he had done something to free a blood clot that was near his shoulder and the clot got extremely close to his brain. I went to visit him in the hospital and while I was there he asked me to sign as a witness to his living will which is sad because he was really thinking he may not make it. He had to go on blood thinners and was out from work for several months. He was told that he can not strain to do anything. There were also other complications that arose during this time (a small aneurysm that they had to fix). He is doing fine, lifting weights again, but is lifting small weights instead of lifting a ton. Anyhow, enough of the story, I was just commenting that it could possibly be a blood clot, but hope that it isn't. Get well Franzen!!

Yes, I believe there are pillars at the top that obscure a portion of the ice. At least that is what I remember. edit- Then again, it may be just the scoreboard.. lol anyone else know?

I'd have to say the same thing. I think the closer you are to center ice the better, but I never had a problem with any of the seats except obstructed. Hope you make it out, I know you will enjoy it!

I think that it's a great tradition, horrible rule by Bettman, but you have to keep in mind that if there is an excessive amount of "debris" thrown onto the ice a penalty can be called on the home team. So I don't think the Wings would want us to heave a bunch of octopi out there unless the game was well in hand. However, if the game was in hand, I'd be all for the crowd chanting "Bett-Man" and having a ton of cephalopods land on the ice. Can we impeach Bettman? GO WINGS!

I have to agree with you on that one, RWF. I am all for a Let's Go Wings, or Go Wings! or what have you, but the thing I always thought that JLA did best was positiive chants toward our team. I think that chanting "(Team Name) Sucks!" is pretty low class and negative. However, if a player takes a cheapshot on one of our guys, Low Class works just fine . Lol, ok, maybe I wouldn't be opposed to that one.

Yeah, I was going to mention that. In recent years Stevie grabbed it and skated with it off the ice but did not celebrate with it. It means a lot less if they can't bring home Stanley.

I just laughed for about 2 minutes straight after I read that comment. Very nice. Perhaps I am just over tired. Still a laugh is a laugh and it brightened my day.

I know this doesn't help now, but 97.1 FM is broadcasting the Wings for the playoffs. I know that I am sick of the crappy AM coverage, always have to try and hear what is going on through the static. 97.1 comes in clear!

Yeah I agree with you and Ha-Rold, Lebda is a small guy, 5'9" so when he went down, he was pretty low and then he got even lower by pushing himself backward (legs pushed outward to continue going backward) to check Langkow who is 5'10") I initially thought that check should have been a penalty. The backward motion caused Langkow's left knee to bend and I am sure that was why he was upset. But throwing a punch to the face of someone on the ice is disgusting. Man up, Langkow.
