So, are we allowed to start signing our free agents now, before they hit free agency? Also, what happens when you sign someone elses RFA? How is the team that loses the player compensated?

I can tell right off the bat that the agents are going to need to represent more players, especially more rookies and entry level players. Just a suggestion.

Not to nitpick, but San Jose is in northern california, not southern. No surfers, no volleyball. They've got beaches, but no one in their right mind wants to see 'em. I understand your point, but there are alot of teams in non-hockey markets where the coach isn't a complete tool shed.

Isn't the entire premise behind Bettman's new NHL that people want to see high scoring games/blow-outs? If I were new to the sport I would have been extremely entertained by today's game.

Maybe Avery should try this next time I don't see why Bettman would want to put a stop to this, doesn't he want to increase scoring? I wouldn't put it past him to add an additional skater to each team who's sole job is to taunt the goalie!
