I see your points about Schneider, but with Quincey proving that he can handle even the Playoff pressure, he should have no problem in the regular season and he can only get better playing in games next to guys like Cheli and Lids. but another plus of having Markov on the team, in addition to being a capable, physical stay at home D-man, is that he is Russian, and I'm sure that helps Datsyuk to some extent and with Giregerenko (sp?) maybe coming up next year? -

Somthing had to happen with Calder, he must have become a jerk or got in a fight with Babcock or somthing, that was one of the most drastic changes I have ever seen a player make, what Calder did in the Playoffs that is, and I think it had to be somthing more the a "hurt finger". I'll be sad to see him go (if thats what happens) he was a really gritty player and I like him. -
I think that its his D that make him look so good, a ton of times in that series Giguere gave up big rebounds only to have the breaking Wings player be tied up by the D men by the time he gets to the puck.

I disagree, I think that Schneider is more important on the PP then Markov is on the back end. I think, if we cant sign Markov too, we should sign Schneider and bring up one of our prospect D-men. -

If Detroit signed Jiggy, we would have to deal with everybody coming on here and saying things like: "He has the biggest pads in the league" and they would post pictures of him with mattresses on his legs... -
Yeah, I doubt they will do much of anything as far as FA are concerned, I think Holland will take the "Why mess with sucess?" approach, which is fine.

I would like to see Bertuzzi with a full year under his belt, I think he still has the heart and will to play like he did in Vancouver, I could see him becoming a second line star here next season. Sign him up Kenny! -
Datsyuk and Zetterberg not scoring on the road very much didn't help but they are hardly to blame for the exit...

well, i'll go in order: 1. Good to hear that Grigorenko will be up next year! 2. If they have to choose between Schneider and Markov, I hope they choose Schneider. 3. So, Calders finger WAS hurt! 4. Good news that Zetterberg *probably* won't have to have surgury this summer!
