Ahh that explains it, one time earlier this season they were doing an interview with someone outside of the Wings dressing room in between periods and Markov snuck past with a light jacket and a hat on! I was like: "where the fu** is he going!? theres still two more periods to play!" but he may have been going out to smoke. P.S. He did come back for the second period

1. Sign Schneider, IMO this guy is invaluable to our PP, even if he doesn't score the goal the Penalty killers still have to keep an eye on him with that cannon from the blue line. 2. Goal tending, if Hasek wants to come back next year we have no problem, if he doesn't were going to have to get a goalie via FA or trade, I don't think Howard is ready at all. I have faith in Osgood but he seems to be streaky at times. 3. Drop Lang, he really isn't much help in my eyes, people say "he is a great passer" but for every good pass he DOES make, five get picked off. In this new NHL (or on this Detroit team anyways) there isn't much room for the dangler type player and I think that's what Lang is. 4. Try and sign Drury, this guy is Mr. Clutch in Buffalo and I hope he can do the same here, and given his record of GWG against Detroit, better to have him on our side IMO. 5. Bertuzzi, I'm up in the air about this one, on one hand he gives this team size and grit that we need to win in the playoffs, on the other hand he may command a big salary and he might be past his prime, in the cap world I would probably have to let him go too. (I don't think the real Holland will though) 6. Calder, If he was really playing with a broken hand, I say give him another chance, if he wasn't...toss him. 7. Bring up some more of our young guys, this team isn't getting any younger and the more experience the young guys have in the NHL the better, I would like to see Girgorenko (sp?) play some games here next season. But other then that I like our team, guys like Franzen, Flip, Kopecky, Lebda, Cleary and Hudler are only going to get better with time.

From what I have seen of him, I don't think Howard is ready. If we play Howard as a starter next year, I wouldn't expect to make the Playoffs.

I wan't somebody young, preferably big, and strong would not hurt at all, with the ability to score some goals...Create-a-Player here we come!

I tried everything, I haven't shaved since the Playoffs started, I wore my Zetterberg jersey all day, I took it off and moved to the other room when the ducks scored the third goal, I didn't move at all when the Wings scored their goals, I changed seats when the Wings didn't look good, I tried everything I could and it just wasn't good enough

Thankfully, like Babcock said before game 4, "Momentum doesn't carry over from game to game in this series" The Wings will come out strong at JLA

If your talking about the Getzlaf PP goal, Hasek had two screens in front of him, one was a Duck, the other was a Wing, he looked around the screen to left the shot went to the right, it was really a perfect shot, he had a 50/50 chance on that goal, had he looked to the right the he may have stopped it, but still they could have scored that goal and we could of still won the game if we had two 5 on 3 PP goals...thats where we faltered.

I was pretty upset at the end of the game, I started watching something else besides the post game. So I didn't see that

I agree, HC, this was Bertuzzi's best game for the Wings but I still think he turned over the puck alot (on the first goal and I remember a couple other times too) and was too easy to take off the puck in the Wings zone, Best offensive game so far?, yes, defensively?, I don't think so.

Not scoring on two 5 on 3's is what did us in tonight , not Hasek being bad, or Babcock messing or not messing with the lines, if we scored on both of those 5 on 3's the game would have been done, no question, we couldn't get it done on the PP and the Ducks took advantage and won the game, pure and simple. I hope to god that the Wings come out strong in game 5...

I was thinking the same thing NFM25, I was thinking about it last night that we claim to be a great, friendly place to talk Hockey and I don't think we are really living up to that IMO.

I think you've got to go with Giguere, He is a all star goaltender and when he has a bad game he has the ability to shut things down the next game, Like Hasek can. Lets hope he doesn't do that tonight!
