I was thinking the same thing today, I thought that him already being in the Red Wings office, he would probably try to get in with Detroit, but on the other hand he might want to go to another organization just because he is always been with the Red Wings, Oh well, I'll never forget what he did for this team and I'll support him whatever he chooses.

I was sitting on my bed in my room, with my brother and his best friend, I didn't have any couch or chairs in my room at the time so they had to use folding chairs while I sat on the edge of my bed. When Holmstrom scored on the Wings first shot on goal, I cheered and raised my hands and yelled, when Fedorov scored on THE RED WINGS SECOND SHOT on goal I went nuts and banged my knee on the edge of the bed ...I could hardly walk for the next few days, a very memorable day for me May 31, 2002 good stuff!

Well its one thing to support your favorite team, but its a different thing to be proud of they way they are playing... In the Calgay series, after game 5, Calgary fans supported their team, but most of them were not proud of they way the team played

Ha ha ha ha ha ha, of course they don''t, Holmstrom is one SKILLED hockey player, to deflect all those pucks, going a 100+ MPH, out of mid air, the Ducks in front of the net plays involve other things, such as: punching the goalie in the head and slashing the goalie in the neck. AND THAT WAS JUST GAME ONE! I heard that they have some eye gouging planed for game two and something that involves pepper spray for game three! I'm embarresd as a fan of hockey to even watch this Ducks team "play". (if you can call it that)

I can only think of two possible reasons that Calder is playing like he is: 1. He is hurt, I can't imagine that a player would just stop doing all the things in the Playoffs that made him successful in the regular season for no reason, He has almost done a complete 180 in his effectiveness out there, that's a pretty drastic change and it may have cost him a roster spot next year. 2. The coaches, the only other reasonable explanation I could come up off the top of my head was the coaches told him something at the start of the Playoffs, something along the lines of "You've got to be more responsible defensively" and maybe he is trying to be more of a two-way player now and it just isn't very good at it. If he ever does become asstaint captian, it probably won't be until Draper leaves/retires. I would think anyways, unless either Zetterberg or Draper all of a sudden started playing like crap and a change was needed, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
