The only guy I even came close to bashing was Lija, and for that I'm sorry, he has really proved himself duing this post season, I have always LOVED Datsyuk (The day he signed that 7 year deal ranks just below three other days that invloves Stanley Cups & Detroit as my favorite) , I've never really had a problem with Sammy (although I cant say that I ever stood up for him ) and I never doubted Hasek for a min the only thing I was half worried about with him was his groin but Babcock and the trainers made damn sure that didn't become a problem. so a BIG for Datsyuk, Samuelson, Lilja, Hasek and the entire Detroit Red Wings team.

Yes, Markov has been a factor in the playoffs so far, obviously not as much as Lidstrom, Chelios and Lija. But just his presence on the ice alone has been a factor, he is a big strong defense man who isn't afraid to drop the gloves or throw his weight around and crush people against the boards if necessary so people are less likely to start sh*t when he is on the ice with Zetts, Dats, Lids and even Homer who showed he can hold his own in the Sharks series

As a fan, isn't being a little cocky what Playoff hockey is all about? Red Wings fans want the Red Wings to win, Ducks fans want the Ducks to win, both sides are going to express why they think their team will win and why the other team will lose. If we wern't a little cocky then we wouldn't be very good fans.

Yeah, who would have thought, half way through this season that Cleary, Franzen, and Lija would be some of our most effective players in the playoffs!?

Did I read somewhere that both Kipper and Iginla are both free agents this year? if so, can Calgary afford to sign both of them? If they can't, is there a chance of signing Kipper? Although he will most likely cost too much.

They just had a segment about proper Octopus throwing edict on Red Wings Weekly, I'll do a little recap to the best of my memory's ability: 1. An octopus should ALWAYS be boiled before being thrown on the ice. So it doesn't stick to the ice and is easier for the "Octopus Wrangler" to handle. 2. An octopus should only be thrown after a Red Wings goal, but if you can't wait that long it IS acceptable to throw it before the game starts but AFTER the singing of the National Anthems. 3. Always make sure your octopus will land on the ice, AWAY from any players or officials. make sure that the octopus you buy is the correct size for you depending on your throwing ability and your seating position. This is all coming from some fish market in Detroit that sells octopus. Edit = Grammar

I think the only reason Marleau is captian and Thornton isn't is because, if i'm not mistaken, the Sharks drafted Marleau where as with Thornton, they did not. Thats the only reason I can think of anyways...
