I would be surprised if Mr I even knows what day it is let alone is very much involved in actionable management of the team.

How did the mess up Gamecenter? Its the only thing they are doing right.

Shawn Horcoff to join Red Wings in player development role
GoalieManPat replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Hes lived in the area during the offseason forever. Pretty sure his wife is from Michigan and that and him playing at MSU kept him around. The more good hockey minds in the organization the better. He was never a star but he put up some pretty respectable numbers in the mid to late 00's so he knows the game. -
Datsyuk Announcement to Officially Leave NHL
GoalieManPat replied to Datsyukian-Deke's topic in General
This thread needs to be closed. If not come November it will be to painful to see him lighting up the league while the Wings wills struggle to score lol -
Sorry to hear hes injured. Its really going to make it harder to trade him which is what needs to be done. Hes had almost 150 games at the NHL level and all he has proven is that he cant produce at the NHL level. Not good enough to be a bottom 6 two way guy and not good enough offensively for top 6. If they can get a bag of pucks for him it would be a bonus. With Mantha, Nastasiak, and Holmstrom in the pipeline he doesnt have a spot. Id rather Frk get his chance over letting Jurco waste a 4th chance.

Im sure Pav is loving playing with true offensive players and not piano pullers. -
Datsyuk Announcement to Officially Leave NHL

Especially if every goalie just kinda falls over before he shoots like this guy did -
Its not like the Wings let an NHL asset walk for free. The guy was a bust.

Patrick Roy steps down as Head Coach and VP of Hockey Operations

It's nice of him to leave after the coaching market has been picked over. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk -

Are you kidding? Sakic was basically Steve Yzermans hockey doppelganger. Saying Sakic is overrated is saying Yzerman was. The fact that Brett Hull physically grabbed and sat Avery down and told him hes not allowed to talk to "Mr Sakic" shows the level of respect that guy earned. Through the whole rivalry Sakic was the only guy you couldnt hate. Pure class. As for Roy leaving -
Ryspayev Should Be Banned.. Disgusting.
GoalieManPat replied to HadThomasVokounOnFortSt's topic in General
If someone is going after multiple guys who obviously have no intention of fighting and sucker punching them I feel they should be allowed to defend themselves and crack him over the head with their sticks. Game or not you need to be able to defend yourself especially when some ragehound is going over the line. What they should have done is pull his ass over the boards when he came flying at the bench instead of pushing him out. -
Gamecenter + https://www.unblock-us.com/ = legit streaming option with no blackouts ever. Takes 5 minutes to setup for the year. Last I heard hockeystreams is shut down. Since it was a non legit site all those people that gave them money got nothing in return.
-
Whats not kosher about them? They meet both the convenient and legal option you were wanting. I set mine up once at the start of the season and never touch it again. Takes 5 minutes. No blackouts on any game I want to watch. The only thing not kosher is the blacking out of events.

What hype? Hes an undersized decent prospect. He has never been expected to be a #1 or #2 dman at the NHL level. The club is probably hoping he tops out as a 4-6 dman who runs the PP. Its not like he has top 10 pick hype. Heck he doesnt even have top 8 hype within the organization.

Thats what happens when you have to sign a vet vs a young kid.

Mrazek avoids arbitration... signs 2 year deal
GoalieManPat replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Good thing is he stays RFA after this contract. Holland better make some room though get get him signed up though as if they have to go to arbitration again the team could only get him at max 1 year and he could go UFA. -
I agree. The kids family was told theres a 90% chance he would die after the accident. Thats not a bust. Thats just life kicking you in the teeth. It would basically be saying Vladdy was a bust because he didnt win a couple Norris trophies because of the accident.
-
What are you takling about? In his two years here during the playoffs he had a GAA of 1.75 and a save % of .928. Top multi year playoff numbers for any Wings goalie since his time here. Not to mention he handled the Hasek s***show of 03 pretty darn well.

Signed Glendening signs 4-year, $1.8m AAV extension

I cant wait for other GM's to lowball KH on every trade offer this offseason as they know he HAS to make a trade. -
Official 2016 Detroit Red Wings Offseason Thread
GoalieManPat replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
It would be very bad form to trade a guy a couple days after you re-sign him. It would look very bad on the organization. Especially since he signed for less than what he probably would have gotten on market. -
Signed Thomas Vanek signs 1 year, $2.6m deal with Detroit
GoalieManPat replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
No risk high reward signing. The worste outcome is he bombs and they drop him next offseason. If he finds his scoring touch again though he could become a valuable asset come deadline day. Flip a 3rd tier FA into a couple young guys or a draft pick would be a great hockey move. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk -
Signed Steve Ott signs 1 year, $800k deal with Detroit

This would have been a great pickup 5 years ago. -
Signed Frans Nielson signs 6 year $5.25m AAV contract with Detroit
GoalieManPat replied to Jedi's topic in General
Better than a 4 year deal for a 36 year old. Shorter term would have been great but outside of a top D finding a center is this teams biggest need. Him and Backes were the best options out there and they both got pretty much the same deal. He had to take on length to get the player. If you think your going to get deals on even decent players in Free Agency nowadays you are wrong. Every deal is going to be overpayment. -
Signed Frans Nielson signs 6 year $5.25m AAV contract with Detroit
GoalieManPat replied to Jedi's topic in General
Exactly the last couple years show he needs to throw in extra years to get a guy. Had he pulled out and got nobody people would have roasted him even more. -

Its amazing people are banging on Holland for signing him instead of other FA's. Its like you people believe that Holland gets his choice from of all the guys available. It takes two to get a contract done. Kenny can be willing to sign a guy but if he has no interest in coming to Detroit its not going to happen. Detroit is not a prime spot for FA's anymore. We need to realize this. In order to get guys here you are seeing Kenny have to give and extra year or pay more salary. This signing isnt bad at all.
