i have a buddy from edmonton. he loved pronger, but now of course thinks of him as his mortal enemy now. kinda funny how things change. guess i'd be a bit mad if nick decided to go somewhere though, especially the avos. that'd suck

Now I don't want to pick a fight or call you a bandwagoner or anything, but.... the way I remember it was you saying that 90% of us nonlocal Wings fans were the bandwagoners because we've like a team that is been good for like 5 years. Comments like that make me mad considering how passionate I am about the Wings and have liked them for far more than 5 years, as are many people on this site who aren't from MI. Like I said before I don't want to argue or anything, but when you call people out like that, you have to expect that someone will attack what you've just said. Still much respect for continuously posting and not just being like "screw this, these people are idiots"

I may be a bit of a homer and am definitely a big Schneids fan, but I would rather have Matt on the PP than Pronger. I realize Pronger's shot isn't chopped liver, but Matt has a freakin rocket.

I wish Jiri was still able to play. He was becoming an animal right before his medical condition starting acting up. He was hitting hard and sending people through glass. I would love to see Fischer send Pronger into some glass

I'd say the Ducks have been good for a few years now. Maybe this is your best team, but you guys have been a good team in the West for more than a year

whatever dude. I've liked the Wings since hockey came to Colorado. Sorry I'm only 20, so I guess I don't fit your criteria for having to like a team for a certain ammount of years. How about paying like $250 bucks for the nhl ticket yearly. How about getting crap regularly for wearing a Wings hat or jersey in Colorado, even from my family. I don't want to tell a sob story or anything, but come on man. To say that fans from outside of MI are bandwagoners is really dumb. Plus, the Wings repeated twice in the mid to late 90's, so they've been good for more than just the 5 years you claim

This is awesome. The NHL is so much better than the NBA. Stern, take a look at what happens here. You punish the guy that started the whole thing, you don't punish the victims.

my guess is he'll get rammed from behind from every duck. although most people would feel that is a punishment, pronger made sure to get a ton of ky gelly

I don't see how they could miss it though. The one ref had Neidemayer for boarding. It couldn't of been too hard for someone to notice Pronger. He wasn't even a foot away

obviously you don't know much about hockey. ramming someone's head into the boards is illegal. it wouldn't matter if homer got up and did a jig right after, people would still be talking about the cheap shot.

But that's what is so wrong with the incident. Pronger doesn't get a penalty, doesn't get a suspension and if there's no suspension, doubt there'd be a fine. How on earth do you let this P.O.S get away with that?

I couldn't help but notice in periods 2 and 3, the Ducks were in the penalty box too much. You'd think after like the 5th or 6th penalty in that small of a time period, the Ducks would be like, "ok... abandon this stlye of play. this isn't working." If I am their coach, i'm ripping into them for the next two days on being a bit more disciplined. I don't really know if he enforced that style of play or not, but getting that many penalties doesn't help you win games

I liked how the announcer on Versus was trying to kinda excuse the hit by saying the reason why he hit high was because Pronger is a big guy. Freakin Holmstrom is no midget himself, that was totally intentional

I haven't read all the replies to this thread, so forgive if this has already been addressed... but what do you think the chances are our buddy Pronger is suspended for game 4?
