I'm glad I didn't start this one (for once). It's crap what Bertuzzi did, but bickering about what ifs and trying to justify it by saying there are worse hits is pretty pointless. It was terrible, shouldn't of happened, but arguing about it wont change a thing.

Don't get mad if you've heard/said this, but.... The Isle are still in the playoffs, seem to have a decent team. I want Blake as bad as anybody else, but he's pretty important to their team. Not sure they'd give us him, especially withouit us having to give a arm and a leg for him

We had this game won if we can keep the puck out of our zone with a minute left. To me, putting the blame on one guy is pointless. The team wins together and loses together. Sure, Ozzie may have been shakey tonight... Yet, if our defense locks down in the last minute and doesn't even allow Kariya's shot, we win this game. We got a point, we had a very good oppurtunity to win against a great team at their place. It's not all bad!

I thought I remember hearing about CBJ wanting to ship Zherdev out awhile back. He is having an awful year points wise and his +/- is a - 18. Maybe change his jersey to a Wings jersey, could be very dangerous. He's very young and the 4th overall pick in 2003, so they could potentially want a lot in return. Although Carter is having a better year statistically, so they may not be too demanding...

Where do you see Cheli in those pairings? Also, I'm not sure if we'd be interested but.... Montreal has been mentioned to be hearing offers on Souray. Awesome offensive stats, 20 goals/ 30 assists. Although, one thing that jumped out at me was that he's a - 15 player on the plus/minus. I don't know enough about his defense of game or how good Montreal is as a whole to make a judgement

Do you believe that Kronwall the way he has played, deserves the 1st defensive pairing?

Things change in a year. All you have to do is look at Edmonton this year to last. Stanley cup finals last year - a team that wont make the playoffs and could be having a firesale. Also, we have less goals against than either of the teams. I know Dom has played great this year, but the defense had a lot to say about that too

I can see what you mean with a stay at home, but isn't Chelios that kind of player? Schneider has +10, so he can't be making that many mistakes that hurt us. He has 38 points (9 goals) in 48 games. I just think you guys are being too hard on him. Also, if Lidstrom shot is as powerful as you say, why wouldn't Matt and him just be keying off the points on the PP. I kinda hope we trade Matt, to prove that he was needed here

Oh well, but to be honest... I'm sure most of us we'd be happy to see any sort of deal. If it takes Matt, I wouldn't like it personally, but at least its something

Sorry if I was confusing, i'll try to explain a little better. All I meant is that you stated earlier that you wanted to make Lidstrom takeover Schneider's duties on the PP. What I meant to say is Nick already playing a vital role as the other defensemen on the PP. To move him to Schneider role could easily disrupt our PP, especially with Matt having the better shot. Also, you said teams are taking away the point shot on PP (Matt's best spot to shot). I think that's up to our guys to keep passing on the PP and make their 4 move around as much as possible, so that we can still get that shot on point. Idk if that helps, if not, i give up "I just think Schneider is a defensive liability. Especially playing with Kronwall. I'm just echoing Spizzirri's comments here. Nick doesn't have the power shot that Schneider brings to the PP. When there's only 4 men on the ice, they don't have much of a choice whether or not to take away the point. That's up to the Wings to distrubute the puck and force them to move around. Nick is already vidal to our powerplay, why swtich him Why do you think Scneider is so bad? Playing on the 3rd line... He's getting up in age, but the guy is still producing

I don't like how they call Sundin the best Swedish player in history.... He's awesome, but is Lidstrom chopped liver?
