I'm not sure I said exactly that, but I will eat my words a bit. I don't think he has much offensively anymore. We need a player who will muck it up with others and protect our players if needed, he does that, no? I'd be just as happy signing Laraque. Do you think Marty would be on our first 2 lines? All I hear about is that we need to sign a top 6 forward, and you know as well as I know, Marty isn't that
-
Obviously he doesn't keep a lot pucks out of nets if his PLUS/ MINUS is a whopping 3. You're a penguin fan, that's fine. I don't care. There's no reason why your PK should be on the ice all the time. If that's the case, maybe get a little more disciplined. He is on pace to be a +10 player with about 7 pts a year if you multiplied his 24 games into a full season. +10. He's good. But man, if you think he's your number one defense than like I said get another defensemen
-
Well, whether it's 2.4/5, that's not bad at all. That would be a great signing, but I'd hope Kenny wouldn't just stop there. I'd love to add him, but we'd still need to add a guy like Guerin.

Ok, say we do get Marty back. What exactly is his salary now? and do you think that's the salary we'd have to take?
-
I'm not too familiar with Fedotenko's ability to hit, but I'd imagine half the reason we'd even be looking at Marty is because he's gritty. idk about everyone else, but I'm sick of teams hitting us hard and we dont having much of an answer for them

understood, so the case is still up in the air in canada then
-
Did the punch to the back of the head happen in Colorado or Van?
-
Well, we could always trade with the Blue Jackets .
-
Whatever, all I'm saying is that Moore had a broken neck, his career uncertain and he gets jack squat for reinbursment. that's what makes no sense
-
either way, I miss that guy. Do you know what the reason was for Feds not coming back?
-
I coulda swore he was keeping it secret for a long time. I also thought about there being some article about Feds wanting to find a new companion and couldn't find one in Mo-town http://www.rallystar.co.za/article/articleview/1110/1/221 Keep in mind this was 3/4 years ago, but the article says " Fedorov, 33, rated as one of the top players in the NHL, confirmed his relationship with his 21-year-old fellow Russian in the Hockey News. "They are true," said Fedorov, when asked about rumours concerning their wedding. "We were married, albeit briefly, and we are now divorced." "

I know, he wanted to find a wife or some crap like that and couldn't find it in Detroit after his secret marriage to kornakova(totally wrong spelling), didn't he? Does anyone know if he did find one? Also, wasn't there something to do with an agent that made him want to leave?
-
Don't blame him, wish him and Feds would've choose the Wings over the money, but can't blame him
-
God, you're right. Still use to seeing 06 as the year. Glad to see that our court system fais like usual

The plus minus is a pretty important stat as a defensemen. a defensive player should be judged more on keeping pucks out of the net, not by how many shots you block(taking nothing away from him). That's good he's on the PK, but that is only a small majority of the game. not to be compared to 5-5 hockey. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he's a quality player and he's contributing a lot. But credit more than just Eaton for their streak.
-
correct me if i'm wrong, but when Marty left, didn't it seem like he wanted out of here? I kinda remember a salary issue, but I also remember it being somewhat like the Federov ordeal
-
The game was on in the day so I was able to catch the whole thing. Such a exciting ending to the game, but poor goaltending on both parts. The guy has played 24 games has no goals/ 2 assits and 15 shots. But the most important part, he has a +/- of 3. So he's letting about as many goals as they score. http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=page&am...layerId=8467580

Moore took it to a civil case, i'm sure that was the idea... That happened awhile ago, so I'm not sure they just settled outside of court or not Alright, this wasn't too long ago. but read this article, it happened about five days ago http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=155012&hubname= seems like he is looking for a pretty penny, 15 Mill could be like half of Bertuzzi's career earnings (edit due to me not being able to add)

Don't get too hard on Dats. It took the whole team to selfdestruct in those bursts.

How much of that $5.244M is Lang?

This is what the Prosportsdaily has shown today for what we're interested in. We got Tkachuck, Guerin, Roberts, Bertuzzi, Blake, Smyth, Stumpel and Carter. I'm not too keen on Stumpel or Roberts really, but the rest wouldn't be bad to pick up. what'd you guys think? http://www.prosportsdaily.com/nhl_rumors.html

Where was he yestertday when they let 6 in? I'm not really sure if it is more the goalies aren't doing their job, but you shouldn't be letting in that many against the Islanders.... He may be good, but look at their PK, look at their GAA.
-
It's not worth arguing, I tried for an hour trying to prove that point. Most of the people are just too thickheaded and ignorant. I'm pretty sure the only reason they argue he's not responsible is the fact they want to convince themselves he's an alright guy because he may be wearing a Wings jersey soon.
-
Young Gun, all arguements aside. I hope you wont think of me as a "idiot" because we don't see eye to eye. and I'll admit, I'm not opposed to Bertuzzi being a Wing. He just turned 32 this month and if he can become the 97 point player like he was in Vancouver while bringing that hard hitting style, in my opinion, it'd be a better than the Forsberg one. I just don't know if he can be that anymore and we will without a doubt have to give up a lot.

i'm not being hypocritical, but that's fine, we're done. Kenny has proven we don't need 1st rounders to be good. Especially since they're like a early 2nd all the time. Why not throw that first and get a guarenteed goal scorer. Like I've been saying Bertuzzi is in a slump and who knows if he'll get out of it, but Guerin has been as consistant as any player in the last 10 years has
