Great GDT. Wings sometimes struggle against underacheiving teams. I'm saying 3-2 Wings. Hank twice and Lebda once! I'll say Mats twice (only cause I know nothing about the Leafs anymore... Mogilny still play? j/k).

i was watching Red Wings live and they said some stat at the end of the show. This was only the 2nd time in how many years they've beat us?

Blake Article, "Could be good fit for Wings"
Mudvayneowns91 replied to Wings_Dynasty's topic in General
I don't know if this has been said, but it looks like Blakey is on the IR now. Blake That kinda sucks. -
The guy said we win all of our games by 1 goal. I just looked it up and 14/41 (give or take 1 for error) of our wins have been by one goal. So not even half....... The other thing I have problem with is he said the Oilers could win by 6 or 7. I don't have a problem with that, but teams in the 80's scored a lot more than now. A 4-1 victory now could be like 7-1 in the 80's in my opinion. I could be wrong though.

Satan could be moved according the fourthperiod.com. I say this all the time, but if we can get him cheap enough.....

I hope so. I'm one the guys that if we can get him cheap, why not? Especially because Kenny finds gold mines with 6th and 7th rounders on occasion. -

Now that Blake is hurt... What do you think the asking price for him is? Or does it even change? -
I think that should raise some warning signs right there. I'm not too knowledgable about Carbo, but that worries me if the player doesn't get along well with the coach. I'd think that Babs would probably get on him too if he didn't play defense as well. On the other hand though, look at Randy Moss. Winning can cure a lot of gripes for a player.

I think everyone is forgeting that Marty's deal was before the strike. Contracts for players were handled differently they are now. I'm not sure how much relevance this has to Cleary, but I just think that point should be brought up.

Yeah, it's ridiculous. I'm fine with the Wings not being clutch because they just win. Although last night they were pretty freakin clutch with a minute left. Thank you Dano

I tried deleting it before anyone could respond, but you were just too quick for me i'm afraid.

Maybe he knows something we don't. Ledba will get the Vezina yet.

it kinda seems like to me that they are dogging us because we dominate. This is the scale they use. Goal Elements: Goal Differential at the time the goal is scored ,Manpower,Period of game, Empty Net, Overtime. Game Elements: Home versus Away, Divisional, conference, or inter-conference opponent, Strength of opposing team, Defense of opposing team, Time of season. This is my problem with it. The Wings score a lot because we have a lot of quality players (manpower) that chip in. Our leads go from 1 or 2 or 3, so the goal differential stat gets worse the more we score. Secondly, the Wings are often in the lead during the third period. That means we get a lot of opportunities to score emptynets and don't get a lot of opportunities at overtimes. Thirdly, the Central Division opponents aren't doing as well in the West, so they punish us for that too. This is the summary I get from it. They don't think the Wings are clutch because they win too much

Yep! It's great having two goalies that are playing at such high levels

Could possibly solve that secondary scoring that some of the people thing we're lacking.

I was reading your signature. So are you a Dom supporter now as well or still somewhat indifferent?
-
Whatever idiot. I hope you sign with the Avs so you can go nowhere with the rest of the team.

I should've chose my words better than anti-Cleary. I'm talking about the people that give him too little credit. Like yourself for example. So what is it exactly that these 100 players can do equally as well as Cleary? The man is solid at all parts of the game. Anyone who doesn't think the man should get a raise isn't watching games or is just foolish. I think 2.5 mil to 3 is fair to keep him around. Also dude, I didn't say anything about Homer Hmmm, that's funny. I was told that there were a 100 players players just like Cleary.
-
That's insane to think that we could pretty much lose everygame and still get the division at this point of the season.
-
It was only one game, but w/o Cleary, Wild win 2-1. I hope this makes some of the anti-Cleary guys eat a little crow.

That is super! neato gang!

Cheers cheers for old Notre Dame!

The fact that the East is mediocre and full of parity is just as much of the reason why the Caps even have a shot at the playoffs. I'd rather have my MVP on a more successful team personally. OV is my favorite non-Wing, so it's not like I'm trying to hate on him. I just don't think the MVP should be of a team that is currently 7th to last in the NHL. As for Nick, I think that Lidstrom makes Ozzie/Dom look a lot better than the other way around.

I don't think them just getting to playoffs should be enough. There's too much parity in the nhl (besides us) for that to work. There's 15 teams within 7 points of eachother. So what about the other players like Iginla, Lecavalier, Malkin or Alfredsson? They are all having great years that are comparable to Ovie or Kovalchuk. They're getting in the playoffs too besides Vinny. So should they not be considered as canidates as well?
