Don't get me wrong, I am not a huge advocate on Forsberg. I didn't say he wasn't injury prone. I'm just saying some of these facts/stats you're coming up with are innaccurate and seem to be based more on a dislike for the guy rather than solid reasons why we shouldn't.

I don't really think your comments are as relevant as much they are biased and skewed. The guy the last two years he played was 60 and 57 games. Not very sure where you got 5. Secondly, the 2005 season 60 games played - 75 points.... The 2006 57 games played and 55 points. Not very bad point to game ratio and definitely not vegetable like.

At least we wouldn't have to give up anything like we would Sundin.

I think there's superstitions in every sport. I definitely think baseball and hockey are the worst out of them all. Some of the things baseball players do is hilarious.

I always thought that a "sucker punch" was like when you hit someone while they aren't looking or expecting it. The refs are stopping the scrum and then Downie sneaks in a extra little punch. That to me is a sucker punch. Maybe it wouldn't of been as big of a deal if Blake didn't have that shiner. Still though, that's a sucker punch.

I just think it's so impractical for a team (Leafs for this situation) to ask for so much for a player (Sundin most likely) that wont even play a half a season with us. 2 draft picks and a young good player for Sundin is stupid. It'd be nice if the Leafs would want to trade him for less to get him to a contender.... That wont happen though. We're still the best team in the league w/o him and the Leafs are still one of the worst teams with him. So unless they want to give us a discount, screw the deal.

I agree that we don't need a rental player. I think that Sundin is a safer bet than Bert. Bert has had injuries and hadn't really been the same after 2005/2006 season. Mats has been a lot more consistent. I mean 20 and 28 in 42 games is pretty impressive.
