Great game last night, sucks that we gave them a point but it was nice for Ozzie to seal the deal. How about the bodies we were throwing around last night and Tootoo into the bench, priceless.

I've read it all and now its time to chime in with my first hand perspective of the Nashville fans. When hockey first came to Nashville there were more Wings fans at the game than Preds fans. Over the years those #'s have shifted but there are still plenty of Winged Wheels in attendance. In the beginning Tennesseans didn't know anything about hockey which lead to the "schooling" of hockey related terms on the jumbotron during the game. They do a lot of s*** talking in Nashville which I couldn't understand because until last year they didn't have a leg to stand on. I've had a fair # of intelligent conversations with the Nashville fans but more often than not I get into an argument when they mention that we "bought" our cups. My best defense to that is when you've been one of the top teams in the last 15 years and you have the management/ownership that we do, if you can put the best product on the ice then do it but in 02 we did have our problems with the Canucks and Avs, the league didn't just hand the cup over right away. I've heard the Wings called a bunch of old farts, a classless organization, and that its our time to step down. Then there is the whole Cheli is a sissy thing, I take that to heart since he is frickin Captain America and if that’s how they feel about the captain of team USA so be it. Speaking of the Captain I heard a 40 something year old at the game on 2/24 talking about Stevie, he keep going on and on about Yzerman having herpes. People at work ask me why I don't give the Preds any respect and I'll always say respect is earned, not given. I'll respect them when they've accomplished something, so far that haven't done anything to warrant it. Part of me is thankful that Nashville has a pro NHL team and that they are in the Wings division so I can watch them live at least 4 times a year, part of me is pissed at the over expansion of the NHL and the current schedule that goes along with it. I guess you can find arrogance anywhere you go, in some places it stands out more than others. Proudly supporting the boys from Hockeytown in the Music City WingsZR2 Also the thing about Lids being overrated, I wonder how they will feel when he collects his 5th Norris? X 10

I've been to every Wings/Preds game since the beginning and I never had a big problem until the game on 2/24. The guy that was in front of me keep leaning forward and was basically berating this woman in front of him who just happened to be wearing the right color (red). This guy was calling her everything in the book and she was there with 3 young kids. The only thing she did during the entire game was stand up and cheer when the Wings scored. Near the end of the 2nd I decided I had enough of this guy and I tapped him on the shoulder and he turns around and yells "what the hell do you want, directions back to Detroit?" I simply said that if he had something to say that he can get in my face unless yelling at a woman made him feel like a big man. The guy turns red and didn't say a word the rest of the game. Now I'm not that big of a guy 5 11 190 so its no like I scared the crap out of him, but at what point does being an ******* become acceptable?

I had the pleasure to talk to Mikey last year at the Wings/Preds finale. The guy has great hockey sense and he does have some of the best onliners. To talk to him for 5 minutes about old time hockey was awesome.

Here are my thoughts on rule 6. If you moved from MI to TN in the 90's with Saturn and you currently support the preds you should be arrested for treason. If any of you have names pass them along and I'll take care of it.

Maybe a sibling rivalry, kind of the big brother/little brother type. Big brother always seems to come out on top. Nashville is no where close to where Colorado was from the mid 90's thru 2002 or the Blackhawks over the last 70 + years. They were a rival for us, if you wanted the cup you had to go thru the Wings or the Avs. When Nashville wins the division once or twice maybe I'll change my perspective. Until then……...

I hope the Preds stay in Nashville, at least until the Wings move to the Eastern Conference. I only go to 4 Preds games a year and I bet everyone here knows who's in town. As far as the ownership they should look into hiring an independant sports writer because everyone that works for the Tennessean (Nashville's major newspaper) only wants to write stories that bash this team.
