I can't remember what story Kenny's quote came from. It was recent, it went along with his answer as to how he can get players to take discounts. The jist of his reply was that they have Redbird making travel easy on the team, a passionate fan base but one that lets the guys live their life and that the money they save on individual contracts will go towards signing other great players. Last line of the quote was about winning cups.

As a Detroit transplant now living in Nashville I’m all for the good nature jabs at the Predators. Although I don’t support the team and am fully aware of the shortcomings of some of their fans, lumping everyone together as a band of rednecks is not cool. It pisses me off when I go back to Michigan and my family jokes about living in the south and whether or not I'm driving a tractor and how many horses I own, etc. Believe it or not, the south has progressed since the Civil War.

No, you're the joke. This thread was about a simple roster move based on a recent west coast swing and a game tonight against a very good Habs team. You seem to interpret this move as the Wings are folding because they are lacking an enforcer. D-Mac, while being one of my favorite Wings of all time, isn’t the same guy that scored that beauty in the 97 SCF. You then go on and on about the age requirements of this board catering to children and stating that you’re leaving because of it when you should stick around, by your own omission you’re a perfect fit. You have every right to ***** and moan as a sports fan regarding a change to the current structure of the Wings bench. While doing so, perhaps you should leave the comparisons to the teams of the 80’s out of the argument. Those days are long gone. It doesn’t necessarily have to do with Gary Bettman being the current commissioner, but more about the type of players in the game now. The game is faster, the so called heavyweights of the game are spending 50+ minutes a night on the pine. If all of this troubles you and your stance on the game maybe you should leave. Take all the time spent in this pointless argument, maybe go build yourself a time machine and go back to the 80’s. This so called soft team is a few months removed from winning a 4th championship in 11 years. They did it by outworking their opponents and basically sending them home to mommy. Maybe we should stop giving the other team 2-3 5 on 3's a game. It hasn't even been short 5 on 3's, it seems like as soon as someone goes to the box someone else decides they want to join them right away, like they're having a ******* tea party or something.
