I wanted Carr to step down last year, not because I don’t like him but it was obvious that the times had passed him by. In 13 years he ran a clean program and for that I have nothing but respect. If more coaches took as much time to get to know their players as Carr did college sports wouldn’t just be a spring board to the NFL, he turned boys in to men and for those that don’t play on Sundays I’m sure they think back to the great times they had and the positive impact he had on their lives. We may have lost Bo and Lloyd is riding off into the sunset but the impression they have left on the University of Michigan will last forever. Those who stay will be champions, it will always be about the team, the team, the team.
