Pull your tampons outta ur sandy ***'s and realize this team isn't giving up assets for plugs. People think this season was awful? Then get ready for the real youth movement next season. Take a look at Gabi's salary for next season ffs. Has the IQ of Redwings fans lowered since Lids left or what? I'm losing allot of respect for the boards this season.

How can most of you not see the obvious? He's not a top 6 guy on ANY NHL team and is not built for grinding and mucking it up on the 3rd/4th lines. There's more viable options in GR right now like Sheahan. Dude is born to be a 3rd liner. Hoping Sheahan gets called up now.

Mursak - Injury prone. Not built for the bottom 6 and wont crack the top 6. Eaves - I personally like him and his game, but I think Miller has a edge on him.

Don't see how Anderson could contribute more than Knuble. Anderson is getting tons of minutes in GR and is playing a scoring role. To have him come play 6-7 mins a game and get knocked around makes no sense to me. Knuble will make the team only b/c players are going to start dropping due to injuries. Solid 4th line big body we can plug into the lineup.

What happens if the NHL REGULAR season starts around Dec. 20th? I keep hearing allot of positive things from tonight's meeting. Could the NHL put the Winter Classic back in motion? Or is the prepping for a event like that take more than 26 days? lol.

I disagree. I think they have TONS of marketable players, but they just chose the obvious ones. Think if Biznasty was marketed like OV. I think he has a better personality. I don't know why Russians come off as so selfish to me and seem egotistical.

It makes me sick b/c of what some elite players COULD make in a open market instead of taking 'hometown' discounts. I'm sure the Wild would have thrown 14 mill @ OV or Crosby if he was available and willing to sign purely for money. Its thef****** owners fault for letting GM's throw outrageous loot at players and it's even more adsorb how much the salary cap has increased to the point where they want to roll back contracts. Give me a break. I don't see how both sides didn't see this blowing up in their faces when they signed the old CBA.

The Wings had a goalie that was better than the defense? Has there ever been besides Sawchuk? I keep trying to think of a goalie that kept the Wings alive through out a entire season. Like a elite goalie type. I'm drawing blanks besides Dom in 02', but he had great d-man in front of him. I'm thinking that's going to be the case this year. Our goalie depth is a greater strength than our d-man depth and Jimmy H. is going to shine.

Putting Semin @ 5.25 isn't realistic unless its a long term contract which Semin clearly hasn't earned yet. 6 million would be the lowest I could see him signing for. Same goes for Sutter, but he would be worth the investment. 6 million per must means he'd be a Wing for life. Boyes = Gomez LOL.. No thanks..

I read another article today on the 97 cup run and it mentioned that Yzerman ripped the Wings a new one when Detroit were tied 2-2 in the series with St. Louis. I want that transcript! It's said that no single Wing has ever repeated a word of that speech to anyone. Oh yea and the roar for Yzerman gives me the chills.

To get Parise + Sutter @ 7 million would be a God send. Realistically I'm putting money on 8 million for each or slightly under.
