He could have said that hitting is part of the game and sometimes you get hit hard and that he hopes Havlat is ready for Game #4. More and more players are making statements like this and it makes them look like total jackasses because most of the time they are wrong.

Based on that rationale this entire thread should be deleted because it has nothing to do with the Red Wings and their series against the Hawks. A long ECF benefits whichever team comes out of the West and I am also rooting for a long series.

I'm really hoping for the Canes to get it together too. Not just for the Wings sake, but I want to watch an entertaining series where I am not stressing every 2 minutes. I think the Canes win tonight and in Game #4 to make it a series once again.

We are complaining about it because it was the WRONG call. It was not interference. If the ref wants to call a 2 minute minor on it, fine, but I would be mad at that too. But a 5 minute MAJOR and a GAME MISCONDUCT? That is absolutely ridiculous. I don't care if Havlat was injured on the hit, it was clean and he should have had his head up. The refs made the decision to call a penalty AFTER the play had ended. If Havlat had gotten up, there would have been no penalty. The puck was in his feet, could have touched his skate, depends on the camera angle, and he could have easily played it. Kronwall dished out a big, violent LEGAL hit and got booted from the game for it. Go troll on the Hawks board where they might care what you have to say.

It was never going to be a sweep. The Wings were down 3-0 and were able to get the game to OT. The Blackhawks have big holes and the Wings can take advantage. Also, it took OT for the Hawks to beat a Wings team that has no Datsyuk and no Kronwall. I'd still be worried if I was a Hawks fan.
